Been away from the desk, but what I've heard is...you will see Blackwood B graders at tomorrow's game. Colts etc WILL NOT be pulled out of the finals.

AND, you all dislike blackwood. of course they all love you......duh.

oh, and for the record, no i dont play for blackwood and are not involved with them in any way.

wishiwas, the source I heard was a Blackwood B grader who actually played on the weekend. He was heard discussing the possible outcomes in the Blackwood Gym on Wednesday morning.

I never said "this is what is happening" I just floated an idea that had been discussed by the Blackwood player.

You saying "have a listen to all of you" is a bit outrageous....this is a forum on HFL to discuss what's going on. Some things brought up will be crap, others will be accurate. I think everyone has a right to vent their spleen on the matter - you are entitled to have your say, and everyone else should. I reckon its great to be able to hear everone's take on the matter even if you don't agree with their point of view.

cant disagree there da, but it was starting to sound like a "lets bash up blackwood" conversation.
appears as if owen has made a major stuff up. he has been is this job for quite a while now. what will come of it??

I hear Grant Thomas is looking for a job!

jq - Despite raising the point in the first place, I agree that there's no way blackwood would pull their colts.

I think it would be extremely selfish of Blackwood to punish the under 17's cause of an issue in the A and B grades. Those kids just want to play footy.

Not an issue, no colts are going anywhere.
But I think you will see a Blackwood team, either way tomorrow at Hahndorf...if that's where it's being played.

The game is at Hahndorf.

I'm tipping:

Not sure who's playing in the Jnr Colts
Mt Lofty - Senior Colts (obviously)
Mt Barker - B's (whoever they play)
Uraidla - A's

From what I saw last week, Onka's looked a bit tired, and wont be able to afford a slow start against Uri's. Is Klunn injured? Had a calf strapped reasonably heavily.

It's pretty tough on both teams.

That's gotta screw with your preparation. Although, it will no doubt be business as usual for the Uri boys - Cut some Cabbage then go home, smoke a packet of darts and drink a six pack of Pale, followed by 10 bourbon cans!!! Standard Friday night!

Yeah, I heard that a note went around to all clubs asking for their input.
It's hard on the clubs not involved. I guess they'll just vote (?) on what's before them.

Have heard that the delegates have been summoned for special meeting at 7pm when it will be put to the clubs. But why does it have to fall upon the clubs, some whom will be seen as villians or heros in the eyes of Blackwood. I know Uraidla stands to benefit, but really the authority was given and in accordance, Blackwood played those guys, whether its fair or not! Now they are told the guys were ineligible ... I'm sure if any of our clubs were in a similar situation, perhaps we too mite be a bit peeved! ... the issue here mite lead to a vote of no-confidence in the president ... I mean he has gone over the top of the Permit Committee ruling and made the decision himself, with the aid of another Board member. So where does the buck stop? ... You'd suggest at the top. Owen has been good for Hills footy, but has a fair mashing of egg on his face at the moment.
GTS ... Uris actually had a draw with Mt Barker early in the season before losing the second time. So it'll be interesting ... do we have the prospect of three sides running out for the B-grade?

GD - A non-Uri biased post! Well done!

I agree with you totally. It sucks that the clubs have been put in this position, and unfortunately some may be influenced by their personal opinions towards one club or another. Owen has done some good things for the HFL (including all the kisses he has blown to Trigga this year!!!), but he's made a fatal error on this occasion.

3 teams playing at once? Would they have another set of goal posts and play for 6 quarters? Could be an innovation the AFL can trial during next seasons Wizard Cup. Imagine the flood!

so does this decision by owen and a permit comittee get swept under the rug ? does owen step down ? does the hfl comittee vote on owen and permit member's future? or business as usual :D

No News from anyone im guessing?? Guess i shall rock up tomorrow and see who runs out if any teams do...

Heard today on good authority from someone high up in the blackwood committee that this is the last straw. Fed up with certain matters with the HFL.

So im assuming they will be wanting to leave the league....has anyone thought about how this affects the decision to bring up birdwood. The Bye was to be removed but if Blackwood do leave and Birdwood come up we are back to where we were before.

How easy is it for a team to leave and join another league?? What are the ramifications?

Heard the score on the radio in the car today and couldn't believe it but Kersbrook had put in two huge performances just to get there. If that's right about game being stopped, that is surprising but I imagine there would have been some fairly serious sledging going on given the scoreline.

Was brought to my attention by a couple of people in recent times that comments on here by myself was construed by some as "bagging my old club". Don't know if I'm just being wound up but I hardly sunk the boots in and I certainly don't take anything back nor have I said anything that I haven't said in public before.

thats really a joke...kangarilla should not be in country if theyre gonna win the grand final by 159 points, no challenge...good to see a little bit of fire in a grandy but i reckon this one went a bit over the top from all reports

Jackson won BOG, the game was stopped in the 3rd quarter for about 5 minutes as the brawl was in the forward pocket in Kangarilla's forward line. Fight went on for a fair while
