Try explaining that to our 500 + junior players!!
I wonder if teams will still be allowed to train?

DOH! I was at U18's state training on Wednesday night, a few blackfriars kids there, and a teacher I think! - Oh well, been nice knowing you all.

Sienna College & Blackfriars have been closed down and the NEMJFA, acting on legal advice, has put all junior games on hold until otherwise notified.

So - some boys from a particular school "might" have had contact with a confirmed case....okay - I get that. But isn't it likely that those boys have been to training and had contact already with other boys who have now had contact at their own school. I mean, how far do we take this?
Surely - if it's a legal standpoint on this - isn't the legal argument to prove that a person became infected wth said virus and died as a result of their contact during a football match? It just seems so incredibly bizzare.
And what about this week, if a child at, say Walkerville Primary, is confirmed - do we shut down the whole competition for another week?
I am not saying we need not be vigilant - but i just don't get the small logic applied here. Boys and teams "affected" (i.e attend Blackfriars) stand down for a week - and let the rest of us get on with life? Catch up matches can be slotted in where necessary.
OVER REACTION by a large degree, I think.
