Well that should have settled JTC's nerves a little! Burnley perhaps not starting the best, but with almost their first chance in the 13th minute Elliott scores! Great goal as is the Burnley way of recent times! Almost woke up the hugs and kisses! Fortunately not!
COME ON YOU CLARETS!

Great buildup too, with the run from Elliott being rewarded with a goal for himself. Burnley certainly look the most likely to score now, I think the goal has settled them into their rhythm. McCann's knee injury was unfortunate, replaced by Gudjonsson in the 28th minute or so. They do play some very easy to watch football the Clarets, really would like them to get up, so we can see them next season against the Premiership clubs. They don't look like the type to put up the brick wall in front of goal, like some.

1-0 at the half. A possible penalty claim was as close as Sheff U got, but overall Burnley certainly good for their lead.

Maybe Blackwell's baiting of the ref in the buildup has come back to haunt him, as Kevin Phillips thought it was a penalty. He is a striker though! I'm not sure the contact was even in the box, and maybe Alexander got the benefit of the doubt for not being aware of the player coming through. Do accidents count? It would appear not.

Too right! Sheff U dodged a bullet there. Pretty unlucky though, the defender didn't know much about the block, hit him on the back leg before dribbling out just past the upright. Meanwhile, what happened to the first 5 minutes or so of the 2nd half? Lucky nothing important happened!

Another huge chance to make it 2-0, to Blake this time, but a desperate defensive effort from Walker from SU saves the day...

Wow, that could very nearly have been a blades pen.

Agree Jack, great chance for Blake, but brilliant defending.

Come on Burnley. The Clarets have another goal in them. Eagles now on for Blake.

Free kick in the 92nd minute, no good for the Blades, possibly their last chance to force extra time.
