Take Friday's Footy News:

Do what I say, not what I didn’t do

Of course, as coaches would know, it’s not easy putting experience into new heads, and he has quite a few of them at Unley. But Young will continue to persist because, amidst the disappointment, including losing the past two rounds to Prince Alfred Old Collegians by 72
when Mark Ricciuto kicked 12 goals, and last week to the unbeaten Fitzroy by 89, there have been some positive signs that the Jets are not as bad as some might believe.

Ricciuto didn't play and he hasn't kicked 12 goals in any games. It is not difficult to check your facts when you are (i) the official publication of the SAAFL and therefore have all of their resources to use, and (ii) getting paid to do a job

A cursory glance at your own website would show you the facts. Maybe getting rid of your volunteers was not the smartest move................

=D> =D> =D>

Can't expect amateurs to check facts and get things right when so called professional publications Sunday Mail's Jesper Jeldstad don't have a clue either or check facts.
Pretty sure Craig Bradley went to Enfield High, played club footy at Pooraka and not Blackwood High.

was thinking the same thing. long way from pooraka to blackwood. but it's just the sunday mail, not a real paper. if it didn't have sports results who would buy it?

Call me a cynic but I can see how this will pan out. Mark Shadiac will pass the buck and blame Ashley Porter for getting rid of salt of the earth volunteers and then save the day by having Porter reinstate the said volunteers and make himself out to be hero to the working man.

Another example of the SAAFL's neglect for the lower grades in today's budget...North Pines lost to Flinders Uni last week by 2 points not Angle Vale...how hard is it to check their own website for results?

Yeah but they still wouldnt get it right sometimes, iscore last weeked had HV A's and B's lose to smithfield....so sometimes referring to the website is also incorrect :?

They have changed the format. I think you'll find it is now a requirement of clubs to submit their best players online, along with scores and goal-kickers, immediately after the match. They will go into the database and be used in the publication.
