Decent win by the Raiders. Wasn't easy getting our structure right on that oval and for the first half it wasn't there. Didn't help that they played several loose players in defence, but we made them more accountable in the second half and were smarter with our ball use, eventually allowing us to kick away. Ovingham have some good players and we know they had some other good ones missing, I think they can win two or three more games at home this year and give the club something to build on.

Good win by the sharks today after being only 7 points up at half time the boys stepped up one gear and 80point win wasnt a bad result but we have kicked 44 points in the last two games have to work on that for sure

good win by our lads today, Uni battled hard all day but we were able to stand up and come home with the goods. Considering that was probably our youngest and most inexperienced side we've had on the park in years i'm really happy to get the 2 points, every one stood up and played their part. P.s Quichey i saw some Houghton spies, one was even taking notes :)

Absolute heart breaker at the Pines yesterday. We were behind all day but battled hard all day and looked like coming home with the goods but was not to be. Some disgraceful umpiring from both umpires which spoiled what was a good game. Very contreversial 25 meter penalty given to the Pines after the siren to give our captain a chance to win the game but could only register a point. So as they say there is always next week :(

:-"

Funny that your match officials intercepted him and wouldn't let him near the quarter-time huddles. I didn't know the public were banned from being on the oval ;)

Yeah, it was Cab, he offered to pop in and watch your game for us. A few of our B Graders watched the first game as well, because of the forfeit.

Looks like this week us Sainters call for a closed training session. No media allowed. :P
Riddler, lock all the gates and do not allow any spy planes to fly over from Parafield airport this week.
Big Aces up our sleeves!!! ;)

Always a good game when we meet, we hope to get a big crowd there...I'd be lying if I didn't say I looked to see when we were playing Houghton as soon as the fixtures came out :D

5 from 5 again Chaps  Bigshow's mob nearly robbed me of 5 winners with the last kick of the day  Did warn North Pines weren't far off a win, as you won't find the bottom teams in Div 7 getting flogged by 20+ goals each week.

Riddlers boys continued on their merry ways by the Zoo on Saturday but there was controversy. Conditions were superb at the University Oval as the Saints players made there way onto the ground, but the Oval was looking like something Les Burdett would prepare. The Saints were so happy with this after years of playing on the 'Grand Canyon' like St.Pauls College grounds where players would often be lost down cracks on the oval. Unfortunately these cracks are not the type you wish to be lost in. Anyway the players were running around with smiles on their faces and some with smiles in their pants that the Uni boys seized the initiative and piled on the first 4 goals. The Blacks were winning the clearances and Riddler had to think of something fast to get his players minds back on footy or risk receiving a drubbing. The quick thinking Riddler sent the runner out to the 'Big Panted' St.Pauls players with a nude photo of the Biggest Losers 'Ajay Rochester' to get the players minds back onto footy instead of the luscious turf. The trick worked a miracle as the Saints piled on the next 6 goals to take a small lead at the long break. Once order was restored St.Pauls ran away in the second half for a handy six goal win. Big William Howie imposed himself in the ruck and at CHF in his best game of the season, while the mosquito fleet forward line of Zilm, Novosel and the Lippapis brothers put plenty of pressure on the Blacks defence. 'Captain Courageous' Lachlan Kennett may have kicked the 'goal of the year' in the 3rd quater and may have caught note from those watching. The Blacks battled valiantly all day and will no doubt 'Scalp' a few unsuspecting sides during the season, while the Saints get ready this week for what some have dubbed 'Match of the Century' against Houghton.

Match of the Century!!
Fitting, seeing as this century is only 9 years old.
Either which way, should be a good battle.
