Good read this week boys, esp the cox movements from club to club to club to club. Having never played SFL or GSFL i was wondering do the 2 leagues play a combined match against each other? GSFL v SFL? If so, what are the results? If not, why not? Would be a very good game to watch.

Just asking this as the SFL play the SAAFL every year, but i have not heard of a GSFL combined side playing a SFL combined side.

Just to let you know, i played a few years in the SAAFL after growing up in the northern areas/spencer gulf area so have never ventured south of adelaide for a footy match.

There used to be a very good interleague compettition called the Lovelock Shield where the HFL, River Murray, GSFL and SFL played on the June Weekend. U/15, U/17 and Seniors. It fell over a couple of years ago and while we keep talking about bringing it back, there is some politics stopping it from happening.
Check out the threads I think there is one that is about the Lovelock Shield that has been discussed over the last 6 weeks

Encounter Bay to bounce back this week, cox will get them over the line.
Say what you like but he's a top bloke and anyone that knows him would say the same, he was hard pressed leaving the bays and has plans to stay on there for a long time to come, rumour has it he may be a home owner in the region in the not too distant future.
P32 nice idea but its not the AFL and the Bays aren't the Dees (melb), no club with an ounce of pride would take to the field in that manner, personally I have never taken to the field in a game where I thought I couldnt win. But in saying that one point you do make that is very very valid, the football world works in cycles, look at victor in the 90s. That wheel is turning every year.

SF v GSFL would be a great game with the GSFL getting the points every time.

Would love to see the game played at South on a Sunday afternoon or Friday night. God I'm stiff just thinking about the concept.

agreed snap kick sarge just keeps on defying the age demons and playing quality football schipper rewarded coach princi with another quality performance and hoppo up forward was a strong focal point jagging 2 (should have been 3) quick goals in the last quarter to put the muddies in front where they were never really challenged again. a gutsy performance by the muddies.

Yeah it was a big result for us and finally a close to 4 qtr effort. Very impressive games from a lot of the younger players yesterday.

Very much looking forward to seeing the Langhorne Creek side this week. They look to have hit their straps coming into this week so hopefully a big game up at the creek.

Mitchell with a shot to win i heard? 8 goals up at half time? Amazing effort by the bays to get so close to Compass. Amazing how wide open this season is!
