Magoo's tips for the weekend

1. Have good feed of pasta Friday night
2. No sex Friday Night or Saturday morning, which means tonight's the night. This includes both with a partner or going SOLO
3. Power Drinks are out Saturday Morning. Just give you an hours rush and by half time you have run out of power
4. Pack your bag Friday night and put it in the car. Just remember to go in the right car
5. Pay a compliment to the fairer sex today.

Footy Tips

Langhornes Creek will belt the living daylight out of Goolwa
Victor too experienced for McLaren
Willunga against whoever
Mt Compass in a physical one with Encounter Bay
Yank for their first win of the year after Myponga busted their Poopa valve last week in

I understand that a lot of kids A Mum are playing a heap of footy but I dont think that these "midweek" South Adelaide matches or school "9 a-side" should take priority over association footy. I am sure will will still put a good side on the park but from the original list there would be 6-8 walk up starters unavailable. At this stage in comparison to this time last year I would be suggesting that the RMFL will be starting favourites.

My Tips

Creek - too many injuries down at Goolwa for us to cover (was always going to be a problem)
VH - but Mclaren to make it hard
Willunga - can Hams get to the half century?
Compass - waiting to see the 'new' recruit could he/she be the difference?
Pongy - on a roll now that they have the winning feeling
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

True.

And kids will be kids and want to participate in everything, so maybe it's a case of the school and South stuff being earlier in the season than the association stuff and by the time association comes around they're spent.

I'm not saying I know the answer, just trying to offer up some kind of reasoning.
I can only speculate and see as a mum from the outside looking in,
And from what I've heard a couple of the kids say O:)

I do know that with 'normal' club footy as well as the South squads (Both training and mid week games) that some of these boys are just physically exhausted and drained. We have to remember that they have had football whether it be playing or training on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Maybe the thought of throwing association into the mix as well is overwhelming for them.

I know at the age of 15 my son did club, south and association and ended up having to have 3 to 4 weeks off after that because of an injury that they put down to 'just too much football'

Well that's my 2c worth anyway O:)

**Edit:
I forgot to mention the fact that they are also doing interschool football carnivals at the moment also.

Your right A Mum some of my lads in the SFL have games during the day at high school too.

True but South and school, both consider they are more important.

Don't need it mate. Fact of life! Any thread on umpires will just become a slagging match and it will degenerate each post.

I think you will find Dylan Webb has been named also (im surprised hes not on there in the first place).

Side looks good, few changes i would make but if we could get anywhere near that team on the park it would be more than competitive!
