I notice Chad Norsworthy has made the Rep sides listed. How has his form been this season ? Has he grabbed a game by the scruff of the neck and actually dominated?

Perhaps Pinch Hitter or daysofourlives could shed some light on the former Central Districts and South Adelaide prodigy.

Any idea who writes 'The Thoughts of Bar Stool Bob'? (and I know it's not Steve Norman) and more importantly what the hell it's about!!!???

1) I'm not talking specifically about Chadwick but it doesn't really matter how they play, most of the side is picked before the season starts. The players who go to Nobbys on Sunday afternoons for a BBQ will all get a game. Gibson is a fine example he has hardly had a kick all year but im sure he will still find himself in the back pocket. I will bet my left testy on that (my right has already gone).

2) As soon as they get get rid of the U23 requirement the better. If players aren't good enough to be playing rep footy by the age of 23 then they have already missed the last boat to leauge footy. I couldn't give a s**t about a poxy game of rep footy.

Also as I believe it to be, the U23 rule is only limited to players selected in the squad, not the actual team...

It is a joke really, several clubs are having problems with the association in regards to qualification of KIDS under the age of 17 and 1/2, yet the league have a cosmetic rule in place to pretend they promote youth...

Williston is the best example in the last couple of years, kids who had played a couple of years for the club (U15's and U17's) were ineligable to play in their senior side because they lived on the wrong side of an imaginary line. If anyone thinks Willaston recruited kids that young just to get around an import rule is kidding themselves.... Granted they won the Senior Colts GF, but kids were not able to develop their skills against men because of an association rule, yet the association attempt to claim they promte they juniors!!!

I have been told its happening again... I believe GC's gave an U17 his first senior game last week, yet he is not in the top 3 or 4 of that clubs Senior Colts...???

Should there be a clause added to the rules regarding imports (in relation to players who still qualify for colts) that the quota of games played to qualify as a local is halved. 60 for seniors, but only 30 for Juniors. To reach the 30, they would have to have played 2 full seasons (one in junior colts then one in senior colts) to be eligable to play seniors while still in the Colts age bracket.... Means the kid would have played most of his juniors for the club already, and promtes "Local Talent" to grow from the junior to senior ranks... The funny thing is the association claims these kids when they select an association side, yet wont let their local club have the same priviledge!

Firtsly... Get your own league in order and look after actual JUNIORS...

Secondly... If you promte the Association team as the leagues best, how can you garuntee a % of those are U23's

The 'Adonis' is one of the leagues elite running players, shakes tags, racks up 30+ possessions each week and kicks goals.

Yes the rules are designed and controlled by the one team town clubs, somehow they think that by allowing players from elizabeth into the league the gawler teams will dominate. The kids still have to have parent willing to drive them to gawler 2 nights a week.

The only benefit the boundary has for this league is it allows clubs like nuri and tanunda to have the best b grade teams year after year because clubs like willaston have nothing to keep the kids that help to make up their numbers around with no hope of playing A grade.

The reality is that the gawler clubs are struggling to make up numbers from one year to the next and are not only competing against eachother for local players. They also compete against a super school that doesn't allow their kids to play club footy and a load of other organised sports that aren't offerred in other towns.

Its about time this league got into the 21st century and did a proper analysis of their A grade rules. IMHO the decades old policy only suits to keep the league from progressing.

I wonder how the abolishment of the import rules for the points system would change the landscape in the BLG.... any experts on the points system on this forum?

blg got it right from wfc players. sam walton because he's under 23 might be the only from willaston to start of the pine.

if the selectors were serious about picking the best performing players in the league 8 tanunda players should be selected and 4 of the nuri ones 4 gawler central and a one or two from others. there should be no doubt that they are the best performed players in the league just like geelong got half a team in the all australian team... if not the panel will be playing lip service to clubs which is a joke, the blg should go out to win with the leagues best players and tanunda has them.

After reading a few of the teams that have been posted on here i was interested in peoples opinions about a few of the under 23 players in the association.

I may be new to this forum but i have been around and watched many years in the BLG so i no a few players.

I was quite interested in the ruckman debate... a few poeople have suggested young richie rosewell... wasn't he an under 17 last year... i would have thought there are better ruckman that are under 23 that would dominate rosewell...

I remember a few games last year when Luke Howard would have caught the selectors eyes... just wondering what people think of him... and i noticed tanunda now have two priors... just wondering whether its andrews younger bro... heard he goes alright as well...

Havent heard much about him this season and seems to be flying under the radar. Maybe that is what Seelander is wanting.

Hope Craig Dawe has someone to run with him or he could slice up the Tigers like a xmas cake.

yeah richie was an under 17 at south last year now at willaston i would say at this stage in richies development that howard is definitely in front of him, i wasnt aware that howard was under 23 thats why i picked rosewell, however when willaston played tanunda he beat wells and didnt do too badly against cragg-sappsford. still very raw but huge potential
yeah it is a younger brother goes very well

ok fairo... made the move cos of family reasons or club reasons... well im pretty sure howard is under 23 don't quote me tho... don't no enough about him... but if he was you'd have to think he'd be in with a shot as one of the ruckman??? read that howard was given best against angaston... might be to his advantage with the association game pretty close...
so andrew is trying to get a family affair going...

believe there was 2 reaasons, 1.wanted to play with his brother and willaston needed a ruckman 2.dont think the south coach rated him and he would be rotting in the 2s at south now with lutze and kennedy on their list
