seriously go back in your hole and leave freeling alone. just because there not good atm dosnt mean they wont be a force soon. 2 years ago they were in 3 grand finals. and with a captin like darren leske leading from the front.

i see that willaston 'baked' freeling yesterday, with sir les booting a lazy 9 goals.

mate tells me that willaston were well off target and couldv'e won by 25-30 goals if they had of kicked straight.

makes you wonder what a club like tanunda is going to do to the poor leggies.

lot of love for leske at freeling, yesterday he had less than 10 possesions and yet still found a spot for him on the best player list

Everyone who is bagging freeling really needs to grow up, every club in this league has gone through this at some stage!

Pac-Man wrote:A blog from the Barossa Bulldogs Website.

2005 saw the Club turn around with an injection of funds from a loaned vineyard, hosting the Grand Final at Nuriootpa and the recruitment of Steve O'Connor an A Grade coach with a good track record. Steve brought with him a winning ethos, a capacity to recruit well and contacts for additional sponsorship. It was a good turn around year, missing out on the finals by ½ a game. In 2006 along with the professionalism of Steve, a successful recruiting campaign which included the return of a number of locals, the maturing of a number of our local lads and a successful sponsorship effort culminated in our fifth premiership and our first in the B,L&G. In 2007 the successful formula continued and we won back to back premierships. In 2008 Chris Gill became President and Ryan Nelson stepped up from assistant coach to A Grade Coach. The "A" Grade made it to another Grand Final but unfortunately were beaten to the Premiership Flag by Tanunda.

Who says money doesnt buy premierships.

Yes you are right PAC MAN money does buy premierships, look at Tanunda and what $100G got them. The 08 premiership and the same is being spent this year.

Barossa win a good team played game by beating South. I am not pro Nelson as a coach but I have seen a big change in the Barossa team. I think the club was being a bit worried about how they were going to go this year with the lose of a number of good players, that from what I have heared did see eye to eye with Nelson. Well this team has surprised me this week with a good team game. How long will this last? The next 2 games will be the test.

No suprises with the results last Saturday.

The mighty Tigers were sensational Saturday easily disposing of the Panthers at Angaston. Craig Dawe has got these guys playing a fantastic brand of football , fully utilising its talented forward line. Hahn , the premium player in the comp was again sensational booting 5 majors.

Willaston had a big win, the clubrooms would of been smoking Saturday night.

The top 4 does look set though ,

Tanunda
Gawler Central
Angaston
Barossa Districts

Nuriootpa
Willaston
Kapunda
Freeling

After the minor rounds will look like this

I wouldn't write off the donnybrooks at full strength they will play finals for sure. Injuries is the only thing that will kill them!!!!

Just testing you Texas.

The good news is your Lions wont be folding , they are rumored to be amalgamating with the Angle Vale Football Club in a bid to keep the clubs long history alive. We will hear more from the City of Playford in the near future.

youre on the money MM , at full strength willaston will finish third this year.

I stick with my february predictions

Tanunda
Gawler Central
Willaston
Nurioopta

willaston have 2 weeks of no guts no glory when they face off against their oldest enemies in the fairies and the pussies.

Who will Willaston finish above to make the 4 ?

Would love to see another Gawler team in there but just cant see them finishing any higher then Angaston or the dogs. Tanunda and the mighty Tigers will be top 2 , you can put the house on that.

The race for the top 4 is already shaping and will see the following 5 clubs compete for the 4 spots:

1. Tanunda
2. Angaston
3. Centrals
4. Nuri
5. Willaston

Interestingly enough we can begin to see where all the clubs are at, as the table begins to equilibriate. As for my panthers, they were out played on the day by a more desperate Centrals outfit. Centrals were at the top of their game, whilst the panthers could only be disappointed with their day. The Centrals forward line of Thomas and Hahn was more functional than that of the Panthers and will leave coach Hadden scratching his head in search of an answer to an all too common problem. With the disappointment of Bascombe going down again, the panthers will need to look for a more reliant strong forward to bear the load.

since when has the barracker become a gawler central publication? has anyone else noticed this?
perhaps bag and sledge/beyond the boundary/fracka would like to comment on this.

using the column beyond the boundary to push a gawler central agenda is not on IMO. no other club gets to run their own agenda.
ben walton has never had a clearance application denied by willaston as he has not even submitted one, but u are right about one thing he is a "donny for life" and if u dont like it take it to the tribunal and see how far u get instead of running a smear campaign. i thort peter argent woul be too professional to allow you to push your own agenda.
we at willaston do not have a problem clearing average footballers to gawler centrals but are hardly going to strengthen ur squad by clearing walton.
by the way i couldnt give a f*** about what i dont know bout brad taylor and neither do 8 other clubs.
so how bout we start seeing some balance in the barracker as i for one will not be purchasing it until it is addressed

i agree obama it is a race between those 5.
tanunda 1st and the other 4 clubs could finish anywhere between 2nd and 5th with central and nuri likely to fill 2nd and 3rd and the panthers and donnies battling for 4th mainly cos those 2 clubs are more vulnerable to injury than the 2 tigers
