Sorry Ben and Nick Hutchinson no one deserves that. Also Tilt and Willy well done on your win!

couldnt make it to the game what happened there?? dont know what happened or how far the bay boys in question went, but in my opinion if there out there on the field then they should be treated the same as anyone else regardless off age.

Not up to you to apologise ROOBLOOD, you were only a spectator. If anyone NEEDs
to apologise it would be the Coach & President. But I don't believe they need TOO either.
There were 2 teams out there, and the First incident was started by No 27 from
MYPONGA who belted Shane Mitchell. As stated by Kick N Catch age has nothing to
do with it in Senior Footy, they Too (the Young Myponga Players) wanted to be in the
ALL IN MELLIE. The Umpires are the one's who need to take some ownership in what
happened, they were Parthetic, they wern't the differance in the game as Myponga
were always going to win. They couln't control a good fart! The umpires were lucky
no player wasn't seriously hurt cause there were some almighty haymakers thrown!
1 Red Card (Will Tampara) & 2 players sent off.
If i was umpiring both teams would have had about 12 -15 blokes sittn on the bench!

Called past after our game at Goolwa on the way home & watched the second 1/2 at
Myponga to watch a couple old mates play. The big Fella from the bay No. 32 should
have been sent off. He smacked Nick Hutchinson after he hit Mitchell. Very Poor standard
game, fights going on all over the ground, Mitchell was starting alot of trouble.
He didn't play too bad thou. Seen the score in the B-Grade - who are you going to beet
now Cuzzy & Rooblood!

Sorry Rooblood but i disagree, I didn't realise that Nick Hutchinson was No.27, he
deserved everything he got as he started the Mellie and hit Shane Mitchell 1st.,
If I was Toffa, I would have belted him Too, but he wouldn't have got up!

Interesting comment singman. A number of your players did apologise. Including Craig Littley and Shirley and Dick Littley all so Tom Hooper who openly said he hates his coach and would like to go elsewhere. The umpire in control at the time "Glen Godfrey" who umpired the last 2 southern grand finals was given this game on special direction from the leauge as there is genuine concern on Shane Mitchels actions and those of a couple of players he bought with him. These are quotes from umpires. Encounter Bay have a great club with great people but have an idiot as an A grade coach. The umpiring was good what was not was the actions of 2 or 3 of your players who were being led by MITCHEL GET RID OF HIM APPOINT BAGGSY OR LITTLEY your club needs to unite.

I wasnt there but do know shane mitchell and nick hutchinson and would be willing to bet anything on who was the instigator. Mitchell is and always has been a dirty thug. I have no doubt if hutchinson hit him it would've been in retaliation to something really bad mitchell had done behind play. Hutchinson is a fair player, mitchell is NOT and obviously many bays people know this if they are willing to publicly apoligise on behalf of their club.

If Glen Godfrey (If he was the Umpire) had that direction from the league, he should have
sent Shane Mitchell & Nick Hutchinson Off and then the problem would not have esculated to an all in Mellie! 2 Yellow Cards - Problem solved.

heard mitchell had one of his own players by the neck, strangling him almost... any truth to this?

It would appear to everyone that the bays are in all sorts of trouble on and off the field. Mitchell as the coach of the A Grade is the figure head of their club and if he is going around starting all in brawls what message does that send to the rest of the players, their supporters and more importantly what about the kids, u/9's & u/12's & 14's who would have been watching the game. Surely these kind of actions cannot be accepted.

If Shane Mitchell is as bad as everyone is saying week in week out then surley the club will sack him!!! ASAP (Just please give him 2 more weeks so he can play against us) He has always been and always will be a pest, the bays are in trouble as everyone has said. Players are pulling the pin everyweek from what I am hearing.

On another note speaking with Gordy Tonkin at our game saturday he said popey was umpiring his first GSFL A grade game I think it was the Mclaren game?? If so what do all you Mclaren guys think of the job he done?
I am hearing very good reports on his umpiring, could we see him set a example for other past players and see them get into umpiring also??

Teamwork, Popey did umpire us on the weekend and did a great job i thought. Very consistant with his calls. He lets alot of stuff go, all that small stuff that other umpires usually call sometimes and then not others(usually in front of goal when they do  ). I think it makes a
better contest for both teams involved when they are not pinged for soft free kicks.

Heres a good question, How many times have you seen deliberate out of bounds called lately?
Last week there were a few times when the ball was pushed towards the boundary and a throw in was the result every time. On Saturday, we had one where our player was under the pump, let the ball go over and he got pinged and a goal was the result X( . It was'nt Popey by the way.

Congrats to Pongy on their first win for the season! Always a hard game when playing them and some deserved success for the Prince and his men up there.

We indeed were down at halftime, the half time biff certainly swtiched us on and we played the best half of footy i reckon weve played so far this year. To Goolwas credit they showed us that unless you are 100% switched on they are going to get the better of you. Cuthbert was great down back, Yeomans and Ewer are v. good through the middle and i thought Trent Griffen in the first half sparked the Goolwa lads.

Tight competition with 4 teams on 4-2 and another 2 on 3-3. Mclarens (Yetti will love i called them that ;) ) pushing Compass all the way shows Hilly is starting to turn the tide down there.

where are you hearing the players are pullin the pin? the numbers if anything are getting better! Bays undisiplined acts and slow start threw the game away against pongy and anyone watching from both teams will agree. Nothing agaisnt pongy, great mateship and pride that princi has achieved at the club can not go un-noticed.
