Just out of interest Loxton North premiership player Jason Keays visited Panther Park last night. A few of you will remember him from his days in the Riverland.

I love it when guys like Ablett and Richardson get injured, then Lucas and Houlihan get dropped, then.......after being named......guys like Priddis, Mitch Brown, Shaun Higgins and Leon Davis don't play, its a freakin nightmare for fantasy coaches.

That Riverland Legends side is extremely strong, and presumably would be the strongest of any SA regional sides picked in a similar manner. A couple of things - did Kerley actually play in the Riverland?...and secondly, i'm very surprised that Harold Oliver didn't make the main team, especially as he made Port Adelaide's best ever team (and was one of the leading SANFL players of his era).

Loxton North's Tim Arnold dislocated his wrist in the North v South game on the weekend.

Could be a few weeks out for him and he's a very important player for the side.

Anyone going going on the bus Sunday to Mildura Cup? Sounds like there is a good crowd heading along. Lot of the Waikerie footballers are heading along and I believe Pete Specialidis is heading along to show everyone how you should drink on a Sunday session. I'm heading along too but I'm going to take it nice and easy. Last thing I want to do is get stuck in a drink off with Pete "Roger Ramjet" Specialidis. I'll end up having my stomach pumped. $150.00 for bus fare, entry, three course meal and all your free grog for the day. Pretty good value I reckon.

Yeah, I've spoken to him a few times. Was going to go out to his joint yesterday for a booze up, but decided to be a good boy and very glad I stayed home after waking fresh as a daisy this morning. I've got Monday off next week, because it is going to be a massive day at the races.

I played my first game of footy in three years on Saturday when I filled in for the Callington Bs whilst on holiday, otherwise I would have been up there!

Robbie Bonner (I'm pretty certain it was him) was having a fair bit of fun.
However, ol' Sheeds didn't take too kindly to him disrupting his time on the mic.
Sheeds made some comment and then described him as the "good looking bloke at the back with the hair" and then told him that as long as he was running the auction of the James Hird guernsey, he wouldn't be taking bids from Robbie.
All good fun.

There were a couple of priceless moments during the organisation of some of the photos on the night.
At one stage Sheeds moved across to the night's official photographer and suggested some hints in regards to organising the pics.
Later on, an older member of the Riverland Legends team was getting a bit loud while a photo was being set up and Kerls in his best coach's voice told them to "shut up" in no uncertain terms. I got quite a giggle out of that.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to catch up with you - I had a very short time window in Berri to pick up some RFL Centenary merchandise before catching up with people for a Barossa Valley session (in the pouring rain).

Did you get hold of the folio that names the two Centenary teams and their playing highlights?

I got the centenary book, cap and stubby holder and the RFL Budget from Rounds 1-4.

Unfortunately I was unable to get Saturday's Budget as they were still being doen by the printers at that stage, and I am not sure what the folio is, so I probably don't.
