Yeah been over sea's on my honeymoon, been great still been getting on the net to see the scores though( when i haven't been on my back).... whats happening with the Bombers, i dont take much out of scores sometimes doesn't tell the full truth, What i've heard we have played 9 good quarters out of 12 but its our bad ones that cost us too much... when we're bad we're bad. so i hear. whats your thoughts. anyone from virginia, balak, or united want to comment on the bomber, dont want smart ass comments, something half serious would be good. have they improved?
hawks to still make top 4, be juicy odds at the moment one would think
scud- by all reports your new wife mustve given u a couple mars bars after every time u "were on ur back"
anyway i to would be interested to see what other sides think of hamley so far this year, is there improvment happening?
i have noticed last years leading goalkicker hasnt kicked too many yet, is he carrying something?
Scud - Good to hear the honeymoon went well, ya missus was looking great! I'm quitely confident that the bombers may open their account tomorrow. Barry Burgess will kick 5 goals and take home the three umpires votes, which will firm him as the favorite for the mail medal.

Nobody likes a 20 goal flogging that is true.

It is just funny that you have so much to say about football .... for a person who could never play the game and will never be more than a magnet board carrier.

Geez it makes for great reading when blokes cant seem to work out how to actually "quote" another post without completely stuffing up the entire quote! ](*,)

Balak were very competitive on Saturday which proved to be a great test for both clubs. It was a close battle all day before Balak hit the lead and got out by about 8 points midway through the last, but Mallala certainly stood up when it counted and managed to sneak home. Realistically if Mallala had finished their work with more eficientcy in front of goals, it may have been a much bigger win as the amount of scoring shot suggests, but credit to Balak who put a lot of pressure on the baller carrier and made it difficult for the magpies to finish off their work. Catford was a standout for the Peckers, while Benny Lamond was also great in the ruck (where he should have been all last year  ), Justin Walker was great down back and Whisky was pretty handy as a centreman. For the magpies, Joel Mont was again the standout player on the ground and would have almost 10 Mail medal votes already this year, Robert Mont played well in defence, Birchy was also good. Plenty of improvement is expected of some Magpies and I'm certain the Peckers will get better. Balak have some exciting years ahead of them with some quality young fellas coming through. Always nice to win at Balak :D :D

Scuds last ever post.......... I take my hat off to all the people on this forum that actually talk football and dont just come on here to bag people. i have never understood "daysofourlives" why you seem to try to come on this forum and talk about this league when you haven't been to a game out here in at least 5 years, but im tipping ever. Your pretty quick to tell us how the BL&G is better than this league and as a premiership player and someone who started playing A grade football in that league when i was 15 i know your right, it is a better league but there is only one reason for that... Money. Tanunda its self probably spends more money than all our clubs put together. Im telling you though Mallala, Balak and Two wells the way they played on the weekend would beat the bottom sides out there and push the 3rd, 4th ranked teams.

As for FGH standing up for me, thats just the guy he is, such a team orientated man. wish we had 21 blokes like him in our A grade. Probably shouldn't questions someones knowledge on football when you dont know them from a bar of soap and say they struggle in this league when you never have seen them play. FGH is a very good footballer.

I will agree that our players need to have more of a red hot dip, a few too many are happy to just rock up and have a kick and then get pissed sat night. im all for getting pissed but between 2:45 and 5 o'clock on a sat afternoon our players need to be 100% committed to winning games of football and not thinking what there going to be doing after the game. I'm not saying all of the players are like this because the majority of the group are excellent but there are a handfull that need to work on that, and it will happen in time as our group get older. Im the second oldest in our team at 25 so there is alot of time for these players to develop. Yes we have been saying this for 3 or 4 years but the facts are that 4 years ago these kids were so young probably too young but with so many of our top line players leaving the club for more money, and retirements etc, it left a hole so big in which we needed to play these young guys. you dont play your best football until your between the age of 24 to 30, so there is a lot of good years ahead for the hamley bridge football club if this group stays together. and on that there is alot of improvement across the league with the quality of kids playing in every club. pretty exciting to be a part of.

On saturdays game, yes we got flogged by 20 goals and no one will ever be happy with a 20 goal flogging, but all teams have days that they want to forget, and when your a top side those games dont stand out so much but when your a bottom side they do, this game will be erased from the memory pretty quickly but our start to the year has been not as bad as our result read. been in every game for three quarters except on sat. i want to congratulate the two wells coach i told him after the game on sat that i was impressed with how he has got that team playing, alot like the bombers in the AFL. this style may not pay off on occassions but its exciting to watch when it does come off. and the thing with the way they play is if it comes off they could beat anyone. like last week against Hummocks.

As this is my last post, i guess i just want to wish everyone luck on the year. im guessing most of the bloggers are players, i enjoy playing against you guys, even though i do cop it a fair bit (but i do ask for it most of the time :) ) but anyone who knows me, knows i have been use to it for a very long time. i love it and thats one of the reasons i play the game, but please come up for a beer after the game.

Good post Scud, sounds like you think Hamley will come along well in the next few years. Would be great for the league if that is the case cause its good to see teams come up from the bottom of the ladder and turn into strong sides. Two Wells are certainly one team on their way and has probably taken them 2 years longer than they thought.

As for that being your last post, I wouldn't take anything people say on here as too serious as most of the time we are all having digs at each other for fun and to sometimes get a reaction. Im not sure who this Daysie is but he/she has obviously offended you. I wouldn't have thought you would want to show that its getting to you. More people posting on here the better (and makes the work day go quicker) so if I were you I would just keep on keeping on. :)

Whats the story with Matt Koch Ben C? Is he not available for A's or something? Has had good form in reserves recently & has always been a handy player. Would've thought with recent A-grade results that he would've been useful for you guys?
One day original John Palmer will be found & the truth will be known.
