Pongy to beat the Bays.
Strath to get over Yank.
Willunga to beat Goolwa.
Creeks to beat Victor.
Compass to beat Vale.

Should be a good round i reckon. Some tight games across the board.

After the much publicised incident in the NRL this week and the sacking's that have followed due to the actions of players and coaches it has set the bench mark for all sporting organisations.
If my information is accurate tonight will be a big night for the new look Goolwa Magpies, the way the club is now operated with such a professional attitude they will be following the NRL's stand with situations such as the one we are hearing so much of in the media.
LF for those of you that may not be aware coaches the Jnr Colts, due to alleged reports of his actions on past end of season trips/bonding camps he will be suspended until the investigations are complete and if the allegations are proven to be correct he will be asked to step down immediately. The investigation involves a number of past and current players so evidence will take some time to gather, lets hope LF is as innocent as we all think he is and he is back in the main seat guiding his troops towards a promising finals campaign.

[quote="LuvsFooty"]Ellis has kicked 28 out of VH's 80 goals (35%), but that doesnt count the amount of contests he creates which provides goals for other players.

by seasons end i think d.ellis % of vh goals kicked against there quality opposition will be much higher than 50%.i thought goolwa last week shut down there gun players and got very close.

I can categorically say that I did not attend the Scarlet Harem (formerly known as Moulin Rouge), one of QLD's finest licensed brothels which is fully approved by the QLD government and the Prostitution Licencing Authority at 14 Avian Street, Maroochydore, QLD at the end of season 2007. The allegations about me entering the Electric Blue 'adult' establishment are true, however the reason behind this was to enjoy the free Domino's Pizzas that were avaialble from 8pm - 9pm.

LF some stories have filtered out of the 2008 celebratory trip to around 4.5 hrs south east of Goolwa where the boys were allegedly involved in some interesting events.

Care to divulge any of these details for us?

Interesting to read the Hills Central thread and their attempts at naming a best 22 association side. They are full of ex SANFL footballers and look incredibly strong if you have any knowledge of the hills comp!

Be interested to see our attempt at our 'best' 21/22. I will have a think about it and have an attempt later on.

Magoo is excited about this weekend and cannot wait to read the Sunday Mail on Sunday morning, to see who has won.

Magoo will probably go to Specsavers tomorrow for some new Coke Bottom Glasses so he can see the results clearly.

Magoo thinks the following teams will win

Myponga/ Sellicks. Because Encounter Bay are worse than them by a long way
Strathalbyn. Because they are better than Yankalilla
Willunga. Because Goolwa/Port Elliot, whilst vastly improved are not good enough to beat them yet
Mt Compass Because they have the ability to kick more goals than McLaren
Victor Harbor Because they nearly beat Willunga and Willunga beats everyone including Langhornes Creek

Magoo has been thinking about potential Mail Medalists in the GSFL.
He has discounted last Years runner up, Love because he has moved on.
He has discounted last years winner, Follett because he has finally got too old
He has discounted anyone from Encounter Bay, Yankalilla because they have no player good enough.
He has discounted Hams because he got bugger all votes last year and umpires have not changed
He has discounted Eagleton because his older brother is better

Magoo thinks Myponga has a Hutchinson that goes OK
Magoo thinks Goolwa has a Ewer who is class
Magoo thinks that McLaren have Crockford that can play a bit
Magoo knows that Willunga has plenty capable. Thomas has been outstanding this year and at this stage will be in front right now
Magoo thinks Strathalbyn have a Peglar who is a likely type
Magoo thinks Langhornes have Moore. A pro
Magoo thinks Mt Compass have Burdett who is a star
Magoo knows that Victor have 2 chances because they have 2 guns. Hodge level with Thomas and Coach Ellis

LF, does this mean anything to you?

I only entered Electric Blue to watch the apprentice 'dancer' fall from the highest point of the pole, flat on her face! I still remember the noise her face made hitting the floor, classic...biggest cheer a girl got all night!!!

MT Hammer won our Best and Fairest in 2007 CLEARLY. He was the best big man in the comp that year and polled 3 votes, thats all, in Round 18!!!!!!! We were in shock.

So im going to discount him now Magoo, hes too old anyway!

I hum classical music tunes to stop thinking about the spunk four rows back who only needs to move her leg another 2 inches to the left, for an eyeful.

tips for this week:

Myponga over Bays...Larks improving every week and will notch up their first win - 4 goals
Strath comfortably over Yank - 10 goals
Willunga very easily against Goolwa...back to Earth for the Goolwa lads - 10 goals
Creek over Victor - match of the round and could go either way, just get the feeling Creeks after last week will fire - 3 goals
Compass over Mclaren, last weeks win will help their confidence after a couple of close losses - 5 goals

damian - i noticed you posted the underage squads for the association games a couple of day ago. Any chance you could get your hands on the senior list when it comes out today?

BTW - Some classic comments on this board over the last couple of days! =)) :-bd
