Clubs would include 15 SFL Clubs, 10 GSFL clubs, as well as Maccelsfield, Meadows, Echunga, Kanagrilla and Nairne/Bremer. Callington would either fold or head to the Mid Murray, while Kersbrook, Torrens Valley and Gumeracha would join the Hills Football Central League, which would become a 1 division 13 team comp. Travel could become somewhat of an issue, with the longest trip being Langhorne Creek to Edwardstown. There would also need to be some work with the junior side of things to ensure that all clubs had the same age divisions. Any merit to something along these lines???

not sure about the idea mate! would be an interesting competition ... but i personally find that the best thing about the GSFL is that fact that the football and netball follow each other and play at the same venue week in week out! what is important about this is that it makes the league a 'family' league! ... kids and parents hang around and become involved in the senior sporting teams for the week end! if you've ever had the opportunity to watch a hills or southern league match... the atmosphere in the GSFL is amazing and something we should promote! families and communities getting involved in the netball and footy! Trust me ... i've been fortunate enough to play in these leagues and the GSFL wins hands down!
let's not change a great league! I 'believe' Willunga are trying to field more teams in the Great Southern netball assoc, which i think is a great thing (i'm not a Willunga follower by the way!) this will improve their following and increase the atmosphere at their games! what also is important is that as a league, starting at the top (Admin) followed by other clubs is to help or provide guidance to the clubs that have been struggling in recent years in order to make all 10 teams as competitive as possible! I hear u say why should other teams help their opposition??? well seeing those results in other leagues of 80 goal drubbings is not what the GSFL needs! the comp this year has definitely evened out .... which from a spectators point of view is sensational!
feel free to make any suggestions re this topic! let's NOT make MISTAKES that other leagues have done!!
