I would think if Tim wasnt to go on next year, the club would look at someone like Scott Hodges, Mark Tylor or Tony Bamford.
I dont think the problem is the with the coach, i think its with the players, they need to stand up.
John Cahill said the one thing about Fos Williams as a coach he never asked anyone to do something he wouldnt do himself and thats the same with Ginever, wasnt the most skilled football, but worked extremely hard, won his own football, and lived for the footy club. Somehow some of that needs to rub off on the current players.

Tony Bamford would be front runner.
Macca would be a good change for the club.

can't see them going for Macca ... rarely do Port go outside of their nest.

can't see Macca going to Port ... he hates everything outside of Norwood. Remember how he used to tell VFL scouts where to go?

... but maybe he's still hurting from when the Legs dumped him.

All academic whilst Ginever is still there though ... Port don't eat their own either (not during the season anyway).
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Maybe thats ports problem their all thinking in the past
had knights now coaching afl.
mcintosh wants to coach but certain people involved are to stubborn to look outside the club
so ginever will still be coaching if their winless until seasons end
just wondering if ginever has the support of the players?????

If KG is right (big if) about Macca, then I can't see too many coaching spots up for grabs next year.

Central - no way, Laird has the job as long as wants; safe
Glenelg - same; safe
Sturt - first year for Norman; safe
Norwood - Hill could be in trouble, but that doesn't fit the 'most unlikely club' tag; maybe
Port - Ginever has to pull a miracle to stay on; most likely
Eagles - Fuller is safe, unless they implode by the end of the season or he wants to move on; unlikely
North - first year for Healy; safe
Panthers - anything could happen, but Sampson should be fine; unlikely
West - on the improve, Collins is fine; safe

So, the only candidates seem to be Port, Norwood and possibly, but unlikely Eagles and South ... does this seem reasonable?

But as I stated earlier, I can't see Port going for Macca.

So bugger if i know what's going to happen.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Unlike some others, I had the utmost respect for players like Gary McIntosh. Thought a Prison Bar Guernsey would have fitted him perfectly. As the next Magpie coach? Probably not. I heard his name as an assistant last year though. But Tim Ginever is our coach and the CLUB is going forward!

They appointed West Adelaide rover Foster Williams in 1950. The guy coached them to 9 premierships, so maybe they should go outside the club more often.

Why not, he's been wearing black and white for 4 years now.

If that happened, I can imagine the Magpies being the only clubs supporters in the world that Boo's their own coach

As opposed to many others who just prefer to arbitrarily throw mud, I actually ask questions and do some research. I also rate a club by more than just the League side. Port Adelaide's off field ($$) has improved and the junior program (Centre of Excellence) is bearing fruit, with 80% of the Reserves and 1/3 of the League side having come through it.

And on junior programs, I notice the North Adelaide U18s got pumped by about 20+ goals for the 3rd week in a row.
