Well Willunga would obviously only want to play Hills Central, and rightfully so, but why would Hills Central want to create a bye in their comp to play a team that is at least a good 45 min to an hour from most of it's clubs? I don't see why Willunga would want to do that either. Id say they would only want to go to Southern.

Willunga FC Out
Kangarilla FC in

He said he has only heard this from delegates in the hills and southern leagues and nothing from the gsfl but i thought i would report it anyway. Could Willunga be heading out to take on the likes of Porties, Cove, Happy Valley Etc in the southern league?

It has been quiet so at least it will make it interesting on here.

Love your work Cuzzy.
Your news has already hit the Hills thread.

remember this is only a rumour this person has heard, hopefully someone has connections and will get to the bottom of it, not sure if it would be worth it though for the gsfl, victor will beat willunga this year in the granny and all the old boys from willunga will retire with 5 premierships or more leaving them depleated and rebuilding with young blokes.

Why would Willunga go into the Southern League?

Surely the one to go would be Mclaren Vale if anyone. But they only came into the league in 2001 from Southern so they arent going anywhere. Nothing will change. The comp this year is as open as its been for some time.

Willunga do have no reason to leave, but i would not be at all surprised if Kangarilla wanted in to the GSFL. The developments with Torrens Valley and Callington this year may have been the last straw. How many teams in your comp? Would they add or remove the Bye? Would the GSFL want them?

They would add a bye with currently 10 clubs in the association.

Pay out a lot of Money, i mean disgraceful amounts. 0 locals, act like thugs. If one of their players get suspended they hire a $1000 an hour QC and go straight to the SANFL. I mean they have an awesome side for the league and other clubs just can't afford to keep up with the $$$. Their coach used to coach Gummeracha, and when he left for TV he brought with him 16 players chasing $$$. Thats why Gum have struggled for the last 5-6 years. It's where Mark Clayton has gone from Port Adelaide.

Weren't Aldinga trying to get into GSFL for years but got repeatedly denied because they don't want to go away from a 10 team comp where you play everyone home & away?

Makes sense to me, it seems to work & creates a fair draw so why change it...

Winners this week
Willunga very easily against Yankalilla
Strathalbyn in a canter over Encounter Bay.
Victor will be untroubled by Goolwa, who's bubble will burst this week
Langhorne Creek only just over Mt Compass
McLaren will get over the line against an improving Myponga.

Willunga to SFL.... WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP
SO MANY IDIOTS
SO FEW BULLETS

I'm being lazy - is there talk of Willunga going back to SFL?

Didn't they come from there?

I would have thought it's a step backwards.

this clash is almost taking on more hype than the local e.bay V victor derby!! hopefully victor take their supporters to the game and the atmosphere should be very similar to the creek V strath games....

[quote="Mr Magoo"]3 games that will be good and 2 games that will be blow outs for this week.

Strathalbyn to account for the bay pretty comfortably, even with the injuries.too fast and skillful.

Willunga Will get over yank pretty easy.after a close match the D's will want to show they're still a force and put in a good show

McLaren. will get over the line against pongy.good game, going to be close.

Creek to get over the line against a fighting doggy side

Victor will bring up goolwa's first loss.match of the round, although goolwa havent really been tested.victor looking to redeem last weeks loss

not sure where its coming from...we're on a gsfl thread not the hills league - maybe try asking the question there...

this weekend:
McLaren will take advantage of a winless Myponga side (3 goals)
Langhorne Creek will move and use the ball too well (5 goals)
Victor's onballers will win in the middle and their forward line will be hard to stop - Ellis to kick 7+ (7 goals)
Strath...not much to say...15 goal win for the boys should be a realistic goal
Willunga by 20+ goals
