Tough one to pick, both sides have had their moments but Mclaren Vale for me. Could go either way.
Gotta go with Langhorne. Will be too big for Compass and will start to gel with their new recruits settling in.
Victor for me, there top 4-5 players are as good as any in the comp and will trouble all sides. In saying that it will be a battle of the midfields with whoevers midfield gets on top winning as both defences are undersized against the big forward lines!
Strath should take this one comfortably, especially on the big E Bay oval where the speed should be too much.
Willunga to win, when playing Yank you always know youve played a game, there a hard physical team but we should get back to playing the way we want to after straying from the plan last week! The season is shaping as open as its been for a long, long time.

Come on mate give us some credit it was due to our preassure that you guys strayed away from the plan.

Without a doubt TW the added pressure certainly was a factor in the way we played. Take nothing at all away from Victor!

We all agree it was a great contest and as ive said both sides deserved the win! Was a ripper game, lets hope theres many more this year!

I'm sure the game will be played in good spirit...and that the Magpie army will have quite a bit to say when Strauchnie touches the ball or runs past...all in good fun and we'll all still have a drink after!

Since i've mentioned the 'Magpie army', has anyone else witnessed them in action? At Strath or Compass? Definately drowned out any support from the home sides with their noise, quite suprising too as both Strath and Compass generally have quite a few supporters. Didn't see many around on Saturday, a tourist would've been forgiven for thinking the black and white side was mount compass!!!

haha mystery ilness or injury hey!! Good one, I will be playing with bells on if picked for the game! Alot has changed around the magpies since you left livefooty, I would expect a hard game like most other weeks and the verbal stuff has been going since the day I left, all in good spirit too. No doubt ozzie will be on fire like he is every week, 99% of people around the Magpies are fine with me they understand my reason's for leaving and now my brother is back playing and the family are back on board and providing some good sponsership all the Magpies are worried about is trying to go 5 and 0 (baby!!) I will not be a concern to them.
The Magpie army will be great they tried to get on top of me early by supplying me with 1000 Jonnie Walkers last sat night, hopefully they can inspire me to get a kick come sat arvo.

3 games that will be good and 2 games that will be blow outs for this week.

Strathalbyn will be too fast and too good for Encounter Bay. Encounter Bay will take a bit of confidence into the game after last week's win, however the pace and movement of the ball by Strathalbyn will be too much for them.

Willunga Will be too good for Yank. The onballers for Willunga in Portlock, Carnas, Baxter and McGowan after having their colours lowered by Victor will work a bit harder and feed Thomas, Hams and Guitink.

Draw between Myponga and McLaren. Myponga have had a tough early part of the season and have been solid. Losses to Compass, Victor and Langhornes were probably expected and as we all know Goolwa have done well and losing to them was not as bad as earlier thoughts. McLaren have lost to the 2 Grand Finalists from last year, which is no surprise, and beaten both Yank and Encounter bay. McLaren should get first use of the ball without Myponga having Laffin, but they have not kicked more than 10 goals in a game all year. 10 goals each for a draw.

Langhornes in a physical encounter with Compass. Burdett and Moore will both get plenty of kicks and whichever of them can get forward
and kick goals may turn the game. Compass having picked up a couple of good recruits have been most dissappointing, hoever they do have a bit of pace and that is what brought Langhornes undone against Strath

Victor were very good against Willunga and their midfield is all class. The young Goolwa side will lose their first game for the year. Ewer V Hodge will be a great contest. Goolwa will struggle to match up on both key forwards in Pittman and Ellis. Big Jones will need to play the game of his life to help his midfield to get the ball down to White

this clash is almost taking on more hype than the local e.bay V victor derby!! hopefully victor take their supporters to the game and the atmosphere should be very similar to the creek V strath games....

These two guys wont be standing each other, they are both good players and not having seen Zac play yet this year I cant say anything but Hodge is in good for and will be doing all he can to make sure the Roo's get a win. These two guys wont be standing each other, they are both good players and not having seen Zac play yet this year I cant say anything but Hodge is in good for and will be doing all he can to make sure the Roo's get a win.
