Think you'll find The Boot always likes to be positive HH3.
I've had a tip off that there's going to be a bit in this week about a Hawk side booting 27 goals. :)

just some thought when at worst do you think the boys should go out and play their own game and try to attack or should you give the team more of a defensive role maybe a few tags to reduce the amount of goals this helping your weaker attack against also lower tabled sides.sydney and crows prime eg both have weak attacks but still manage to make eight is this how hackam should go? i think if i was coaching this might be a good start so do your homework on opp team single out players and get serious about the future if your team is young why not try? any other thoughts.

Using an example from the AFL isnt really accurate of how the SFL is. The gap in football ability, resources and numbers between the top teams and the bottom teams in the SFL is so great that Hackham trying to totally shut out a Brighton midfield is gonna be a pretty massive task. Not to say we dont try. If you watch a game and pay close attention you will notice that certain people have certain jobs. Sometimes we do them well, sometimes we dont.

Hmm hope your not paying any players or your wasting your money may as well save all pennys so in 5 or so years you maybe able to compete as not much comming through with much go ! Thought number 18 easly your best once again. seconds really put the pressure on marion but looks like thats it ! no skill or game plan. most of your players just hit bodys i bet their sore every week and nothing to show for it . That sucks! keep positive as i said the pressure on the player with the ball great everything else shower.

well i probably shouldnt have said MOST of your players, but there were a few that were fairly dirty. when i go into a wrestle to get in between a 16 year old and a 6ft 95kg man i dont expect to be punched in the ribs by one player and then eye gouged by another. hopefully what your coach told ours is true. he obviously sees it as unacceptable and thinks a few that played in that game wont be playing As this week. Apparently they do it a fair bit. Good move if you ask me. When we're trying to develop younger players for the future we dont want idiots trying to belt them and put them off senior footy.

once you play A grade its fair game... and in the last quarter i saw hackham full back (big guy) snipe marions smallest guy in the kidney when he was going for mark. its the pot calling the kettle black
and hackhams "16yo kid" far too mouthy... clearly he wasn't too keen on walking the walk after talking it up

yeah it happens both sides...paineys "tackle" happened late in the 4th. there was a lot of stuff leading up to it. it was a very physical game and most stuff was within the rules. the only thing i have a problem with is doing some undiciplined things to our 16 year old making his senior debut. you might have seen me come off 2nd best to one of the bigger marion players when i made the mistake of jumping into a shirtfront...and i copped it from the crowd...i think that stuffs great. i have nothing against hard hitting play

mate i have no problem with the marion players wrestling or anything like that with our players. its the 3rd man in swinging that pisses me off.

im the same mate. ive been playing senior footy since i was 14 in the SAAFL. I know what it takes to play when your 50kgs. And i know how important it is for senior players to get around them when this stuff happens. And it always happens. Trust me, the young fellas not put off at all. He'll definately play next week and most probably from here on out.

i can definently say that all the senior boys are behind these younger players. i think about 3/4s of our team are 21 and under. and you have already said that we hit the bodies hard. there is no fear in these guys.

i do have to say tho that marion played well. I didnt expect it to be that bad for us. That would be our worst game of the season by far. Most games we put together one or two decent quarters. Saturdays game had none.
