Yeh 1 of our 1st 18's got injured busted his arm pretty bad im told! Great day for Trinity saturday i guess! lol but there was talk of other player that got hit in the pack as well but he was ok???

I think Trinity could have won saturdays game, i think they certainly have the ability to, i have seen them play much better footy this year. I think they were very patchy 1 min played good footy then the next let themselves down with silly stuff! Out of who we have played so far i believe not much separates West Croydon, Heccies, Lockleys and TOS. These games i think are anyones games to win just depends who plays better on the day and on saturday Heccies did that for sure. We havent played the likes of CLG Brahma or Paralowie yet so i guess we will have a better picture of where we stand once we play these clubs.

 Seriously i hate hearing people complaining all the time that Trinity is soooooooo far away?? all div 6 clubs are travelling to Paralowie, Brahma lodge, central united.... Trinity is maybe 15mins on from these clubs on a complete straight road might i add??? do Trinity winge and complain everytime they travel for the return trip? NO some of our boys travel much longer then an 1hr as they live further out country, do Trinity hire a bus and a nights accommodation to travel to other clubs? NO

teams playing out at Trinity and finding it difficult to get used of the surroundings etc
How thick r some people then? how hard is it to drive on a straight road and then make 2 turns??? And the school is big open clear spaces with the oval being the 1st thing you drive past once you enter the school.

The change rooms yes on saturday were further away due to the school doing renovations but you didnt have to go to the change rooms and then drive your car to the oval. Normal change rooms are a walk up 1 slight hill . R clubs really that lazy. Clubs do always question Trinitys fitness well maybe there is your answer.

As for the oval??? odd shaped??? I know im a girl and ive never played footy but i have been to many ovals and i know all ovals r a bit different but the last time i looked at Trinitys oval it looked pretty normal to me. This is a serious questions not being defensive or anything about our oval just wondering what you mean by odd shaped?

Any crap that you cop is brought on by yourself. You are the furthest team north, no you haven't played the game so you wouldn't understand the odd shape, most ovals run north/ south and you can judge the wind. Most ovals have a changeroom that you go out of and the oval is usually nearby. You want to start calling people "thick" because they find that Trinity is a hard oval to get used of, do some homework first. No one even bagged your club, they were just stating that your oval is quite unique.

I'm off the Trinity train now.

I made no direction to anyone being thick regarding playing on our oval i asked a general question stating ive never played football before so i dont know the ins and outs of ovals to play on so thats why i was asking what you meant by odd shaped!

Yes we are a way out but do people complain every week driving to your club smithfield?? coz Trinity is no more then 10 mins from your club, sorry for saying but i get so sick of hearing it affects peoples game driving to our ground. Our boys do the same thing every week and never hear them complain. There r many other clubs in the comp in the same boat that travel south.

Thanks for explaining to me the reasons behind why Trinitys oval is odd, shame you read my post the way you did coz i wasnt being a defensive bitch about Trinity just wanted to know the reason why?

TG, I think LM's point was that noone complained or bagged your club, your club's ground or your club's facilities, yet you launched into a defensive post.

HB3 merely points out a couple of factors that may play into your favour when you play at home. Same goes for when people say the same stuff about our ground restricting opposition space and that they run like girls when they see a daddy-long-legs in the changerooms - I am like, 'yes, yes it is true that our ground favours us and that the opposition run like girls when they see a daddy-long-legs', not 'are you all dumb, it's merely an illusion that the ground is not big and you are wimps for complaining about spiders'.

People do complain about the drive out north, same as when we hae to travel to Plympton or Kenilworth, other clubs in div. 5 rate a win at Smithfield highly, we have a tricky wind to get used of as our south-western area has tall trees lining it and there are some tricky pockets. The level of support drops off the further you travel from home aswell, when we played Elizabeth, the whole oval was surrounded by cars, against Kenilworth, there were plenty of gaps.

It's hard to stick around for a couple of beers at rival clubs when you travel too far aswell, the dui factor and the journey to get back to your own club to order a feed and be there in time for awards.

Replace "Daddy Long Legs" with "redback" for a more apt description of Houghtons changerooms.

I hate not being able to stick around for at least one drink. Wasn't able to do it for either away game so far because of the travel :(

My appoligies if its coming across as defensive, im not trying to be all oh our club is great how dare you judge, i do understand for clubs like CLG Glenunga and others Heccies etc it is a drive and when you dont know your surrounds it can be hard, and maybe i do fail to see how hard it is, i guess i just see that our boys dont complain about the return to clubs. Everyone is entiltled to there opinion and i really do respect that, my post is merely just an opinion that i dont see what the big deal is, Trinity is not that far from many other clubs in the northern area.

Totally agree Trinity would often love to stick around and have a beer or drink but the travel back for presentation makes it a late one. Many clubs last year were great in the offer of a beer after the game Heccies, Glenunga, i know its the same on our end 1 not having club rooms but 2 Trinity pack up straight away coz most clubs r ready for home at the end of the day.

how can u rate paralowie when they got beaten to the tune of 100 points by clg..yeh they are a competitive side, but will they only be making up the numbers if they make the final 5, its a tough ask to turn around a 100 point margin

We do awards at our sponsor Cafe Nova in Gawler. Not in the cafe but they have a function room to the side that we use. We also do sometimes go to another sponsor Mawson Lakes Hotel.
