MARK MY WORDS - BRAHMA LODGE WILL WIN THE FLAG THIS YEAR

Probably won't drop a game, but their experience will be the telling factor in the finals, where CLG are vulnerable.

No i don't think JL has pissed in my pocket. Glenunga have played both CLG & BL, not a whole lot between them from all reports but BL look to have the class and experience edge.

Definately the 2 teams to beat are CLG and Brahma. Glenunga have played them both as well as Lockleys, all 3 teams winning by over 200 points. Just be interesting to see what happens of some of Brahmas forward line gets injured?? I see CLG don't seem as reliant on Harvey this year. Its very tough for any team in this div to go underfeated, only due to depth if players get injured or go away etc. Anything can happen come finals time, the best side during the year doesn't always wibn the grand final. Look at Geelong last year. I always think its good to experience a loss or 2 during the year so teams don't get ahead of themselves.

Central United
Glenunga

I think anybody could finish anywhere in there section. Well accept mitchell park who are by themselves.

Thought's anybody? :?

I think that your not far off the mark!!!!
1st- blodge very very good side and have not even played 4 solid quaters yet, seriously watch out when the do,and they still have players out.
2nd- clg like b lodge very well drilled side but will they learn from there exit from the finals race last year only time will tell.
3rd- heccies i think this side has the ability to play in the big day, good forwards, and there on ballers run hard all day.
4th- lockleys dont underate this side some real match winners.
5th- west croydon just because i dont rate any other team.

and i really hope glenunga dont finish bottom for jimmy.

I hope none of my West Croydon boys read that
I think we would be in the group below, hopefully fighting for the 4th or 5th spot. Just think there may be a few sides in front of us at this stage of the season...time will tell for every side.

And while i'm on here, on behalf of the West Croydon FC, I would again like to thank the Mitchell Park boys for their show of respect by participating in the minute silence for a true legend of our club whom we lost last week. On a day which was our clubs most significant for some time, the way both clubs conducted themselves on the day is a real credit and very much appreciated.

Will be tough for Parkies though, we have 13 A graders out with a mixture of injury and internal suspension. MP have implemented a very strict discipline policy meaning any send off for tomfoolery will result in suspension.

If this is the case (internal disciplining) then I applaud mitchell park. It will work best in the long run as the club will develop a good reputation for behaviour and prospectice recruits are often swayed by club culture as much as amounts of $ thrown around.
It's not very often N McDonnell plays B grade for Mitchell Park! and this was after getting sent off for swearing at himself (admittedly quite loudly) after missing a shot at goal.

I agree that it will make our club stronger and more attractive to recruits in the long run. I think everyone knows Mitchell Parks reputation on here - its one of thuggery and sniping - and whilst I agree there have been incidents both in the past and even this season that are cause for regret, we are as a club trying to earn the respect of the SAAFL as uncompromising but also respectful and fair - behaviour that has previously been acceptable will no longer be.

We sometimes have the opinion that because of our reputation we start games 5 goals down before the siren sounds - especially against some of the bigger, more established clubs with good reps. We know for a fact that some umpires have no respect for Mitchell Park - others downright hate us. This causes much angst in the playing group which leads to tempers getting out of control.

Hopefully with this new policy in place our players will learn that anything worthy of a card is totally unacceptable, the umpires then might begin to take us seriously and we can get on to playing footy.

Mitchell Park never like to lose. However, sometimes it's more palatable. Last Saturday was definitely one of those occasions.

Every club has them, those stalwarts that have seemingly run the club forever. When we lose them it can be devastating. After hearing a few stories it sounds as though "Stewy" was one of those people. May he rest in peace.

i think a few people rate trinity. only 1 or 2 tipped heccies to win last week. agree with zedman about trinity. travelling 1hr to play there and even just the fact the changerooms are located so far away from the oval + the odd shape oval will advantage trinity a lot. i would expect if there was an upset this yr, i think trinity are the team to do so. i think that sneaking into the 5 is not out of their reach.

as for that 3rd player who got injured trinity girl, i think there was someone from the school game who broke their arm and came for attendence to the st johns.
