RD 6 Panthers v Glenelg @ Noarlunga

Postby magpie in the 80's » Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:50 pm

Can the tigers bounce back OR do the Panthers continue their run from last year
I went to a fight the other night, and a hockey game broke out. - Rodney Dangerfield (1921 - 2004)

Glenelg will be very keen to atone for last weeks dissapointing effort against the Dogs...

The Panthers have the wood on the Tigers from last year, makes for a good game I reckon...

For me, Bays by under 5 goals but wouldn't be suprised to see a bit of an upset on the day...

If South win, Glenelg can pack up and go home for Season 2009.

bays will bounce back & bounce back with a win to a similar margin that they lost to last week.......it maybe a fiery encounter early with the likelyhood of chris hall making his debut with the tigers

The bays on paper are far better than us.We would have to play better than we have so far and the bays would have to continue playing under their capabilities for us to win.
Last weekend against the eagles we had an honest go,with our major problem being our forward line.
We cannot rely on Ben Warren all the time and Clay is going to have to try another tall up forward on sunday. We also lack a small crumbing forward!
Cockshell will be back in a couple of weeks, but until then somone else is going to have to stand up!
Lets hope we can continue to work hard and push the bays the whole distance.A win against them would be a massive confidence boost for the team! ;)

An added boost for Glenelg, with Josh Carr being dropped by Port to play his first game for the Tigers in over five years.

Cockshell back already?

And Glenelg fans can only hope that is the last they'll see of McConnell at league level.

Why??

If he goes away and works on what the Rubbers wants him to and becomes a better footballer, why wouldn't want to see him again at league level??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Matty Primus said on 5AA tonight that while Josh Carr has been ommitted from the Power, a decision will be made as to whether he fronts for Glenelg on the weekend in the SANFL.

He mentioned Josh has been carrying groin soreness and they may actually chose to rest him, but I think Carr will play at Noralunga on the weekend in a bonus for the Bays.

Great to see Murph back, a huge barometer for the Bays IMO, not highly rated outside the club but critical to our success

On the 5RPH League Team Show tonight Zac Milbank from the Advertiser made mention that Port Power have asked the Bays to name Josh Carr on a hlf forward flank for them.

He did go on to say it could be the Power just trying to throw the Crows off because Josh was named as Port's 1st emergency for the Showdown.
