hodgy may be good but how can one man take on the willunga onballers? no doubt haskett will have a crack on ellis, possible the best centre half back vs one of the best big forwards in league, my money is on haskett to shut him with the help of a lack of supplie compared to last week
mate i never sed hodgey would beat all of willungas on-ballers by himself.the only thing i stated was if u can shut down hodgey and d.ellis then any side in the gsfl will go along way to knockn of vh.i actually think willunga will win this week and i think they will win fairly comfortably,as sum1 stated before i think vh defence is a little vulnerable.

Strath had some very good players playing in the B grade, Ben simmo, Burgess (who looks fit, lost some weight apparently), maxwell (called him snoop i think, unsure of his first name) so i think people writing them off after a 0-2 start might be made to eat words.

YES
Creeks trailed by 25 points at 3/4 time and got to within 5 points then Strath kicked the last 2 goals.
was about 11 goals to 9. Strath were better suited by the slippery conditions with their pace causing the Creeks a few problems.
Good game Sat night, my observations on why Strath got up:
a) Conditions significantly lessened the influence of Creeks big blokes and brought Strath's speedy little fellas right into the game.
b) Strath had a very well thought out game plan and were definitely better coached on the night. Duffield in a scragging role on Feast all night the master stroke.
c) Creek poorly prepared and poor performances from some of the 2nd tier 'regulars'.
After watching the Creek (& South for that matter) for a few years now, I feel when 'big' recruits come into a football side the regulars and perhaps even the coaches can get a bit lazy, assuming that the sum amount of talent in the side will get them over the line easily each week. No amount of talent is substitute for proper preparation and a well thought out game plan.
Champion sides like Willunga (and Centrals in SANFL) are the ones who have been able to gel recruits into the team and turn a team of champions into a champion team.
As a Creek supporter I just hope some lessons will be learnt from this game. In the end it's better to get wake up call like this early in the season rather than in the GF when it's too late a la 2007.

Mclaren V Yankalilla A GRADE
Last quarter and the scores were very close.
Yank player grabs the ball at centre wing, in front of the clubrooms and the crowd.
Runs on 45 degree angle towards the boundary and the end McLaren was kicking....I thought to get space and then tocentre the ball
BUT NO HE THEN PUTS ON A SPURT AND KEEPS RUNNING THE WRONG WAY AND KICKS 45 METRES THE WRONG WAY.
PRICELESS
