Plympton to announce Shaun Elletson as senior coach and A grade captain for next season. His vice will be Heath Streak. A massive step up in Shauns career. A big lose will be express opening bowler and man lover Ross Moore, he has diving comitments. Should be a good year at the kennel.

He should poll well but he will have Berry and Tonkes stealing votes from him. Brendan only has Fordy to steal them really so he is a big chance to get it IMO.

Congratulations to Sambo and Rowey who thoroughly deserve the medal combined. It is a shame Rowe was not there to collect his award.

The honour of winning this medal is decreasing every year IMO. We should work hard, as an association, to get this as an annual event that works extremely hard to make it as somethin that players strive for. Also on this matter, the umpires are not helping the situation, they have no idea of how to vote on the medal.

I personally gifted 3 votes against Westminster in our game, Pressy made 90 not our and 4 or so. Hoppy was wicketless and made 15not out and 78 (got 2 votes). M.Whenan took a 3 fa FA and 5 FA and made a 0 not out. However i got 3 votes with a 69 and a 0 plus a dropped catch. How i got 3 votes i dont no. In saying that against NH Hoppy got 3 votes making 98 (game heated out after day one), pressy made 64 and got 2 votes and J.Quirk got 1 vote with 2/75 off 10 overs (and bowled puss) and got a 1 vote, i got zero with 66 runs. I see it as i was in front in the end of the day as i shouldnt have got a vote one game but got 3 and maybe shoulda got 2 but got none, but jeeze what are the umpires on.

Congratualtions to the winners, thoroughly deserved and definitely the best 2 players throughout the year. JB was second on 15 votes (2 behind the leader) and bulldogs007 was equal or one behind JB.

Congratulations to all Runner ups and premiership sides. Peace be with you.

Not a bad call Bazza! I might even tip G.Ablett for the Brownlow, a dark horse I know, but I think he will do alright this year! ;)

Nice of you to blow your own trumpet Bazza but none of this change yr mind crap , i did read this comment from you originally.......

Berry will win the Hewett , how could you leave him out, you WYC boys are just pussy footing around cos your playing ramblers this week!
.

FIGJAM11 is no stranger to pumping up his own tyres but is always on the money.... as written on Feb 24 .

Traditionally the medal has been won by a fast bowler or allrounder so that counts McCormack out. Pritchard hasn't had enough standout games but then again might make up for that with the charity vote. Would love to see him win it !

My tip until round ten is Sampson from D.Rowe but think it is pretty close that a standout performance in round 11 could clinch it......... Dark Horse : M.Tonkes

:D

Congrats to me mate JB....... great effort buddy !!! 8)

They had it at the meeting but not sure if they will put it up on the website.

We need Dave Billett back so we can have all that info asap :D .

Not certain but i think he may have polled 11 votes whilst the winners polled 17.

Rusty polled 13 votes was 4th or so i think! Sambo and Rowe clearly the best 2 players this year and deserved to win. As Coverking has said would like to see the night become more of an event with a count and get the top 10 along there. Was pretty dissapointing the amount of trophy winners that were not there.

what was very disappointing and i think JB and Sarge may agree with me is that the naming on a certain runner up certificate was incorrect, made for a good laugh on the night but really how can they (who ever gave the information to certificate makers) screw up a simple thing like that.

But yes back to CK's disappointment in the turn out, this was my first association presentation night and wasnt at all what i had thought it would be after hearing about previous years.

....and news just in

wycbloods has just started his preseason for the upcoming season. Is very keen to lift his (already extremely high ;) ) fitness to a new level. Good work from you bloods, i'd love to be out there with you but im not sure i would be able to keep up such a high intensity that i know u love to work at. Gd luck!!
