We went into the last down by 3 goals and had the ball in our foward 50 for the first 10 minutes but could only manage 3 pts (1 kick was stopped by one of our own players on the goal line with his big head) If we could have converted a goal out of it I beleive that we would have had them beat. But instead they went down and kicked a goal and the rest is history. This week will be a good game but in saying that I will be very disappointed if we dont come away with the points.

P.S. Im with you Carey I hope Henley fall flat on there faces and they are not as good as people expect very beatable as long as you make the most of your forward entries.

Well bigshow it looks like your very disappointed hear Ovies knock you guys off on your ground and had a guy reported in the first Qrt so played with 17 for most of the game?Heard alot coming from Pines earlier in the year talking up how well they will go but at none and 3 dont hear much now     :D :D :

Get over yourself Wattle. Both teams had there ruckman sent off and reported at the same time. Both teams played with 17 for 10 mins. We had the lead from the start of the game until the last 5 mins of the last quarter. We lost by 5 points but probably should have buried Ovies in the 3rd but instead Ovies came back and we lead by only 2 pts at 3 qtr time. Both teams had there chances in the last and Ovies made the most of theres. Very evenly contested game played in good spirit. But yes still very disappointed that we lost and still beleive we are a much better team than our results have showed. Other than the first game we had the chances to win our other 2 in the last and have not managed to finish of the game. Still close enough is not good enough and are still very keen for our first win of the season.

Wattle seriously buddy get your facts right before you come on here sprouting rubbish. Final score from the weekend was Nth Pines 11.9 Central United 11.5. As it was only a trial and our first hit out of the year the score was irrelevant. Also when you have 36 blokes rotating through 4 quarters of footy you rarely get your best team on the field. As for K.Norris he is our footy director for this year and there is no intention of him playing. And dont worry you blokes wont have to wait too long in the regular season to see how decent our recruits are. Rd 3 i believe ;)

Yep rd 3 we seen how decent your recruits were?

Yeah sad to think u are bragging about winning games against Agrade sides. What more sad is u guys didn’t have B--ls
To face the music in Div 6 so u finish top 2 again. We all knew that before the season started so what NEW.
All Henley players should be embarrassed every time they take the field this year in Div 7 and all teams in Div 7 should forfeit the game against u and send a message to SAAFL.

What a comment. You stay down in Div 7 trying to chase a flag because an A Grade team beat you in the 08 Grand Final, now you wanna sprout off about beating A grade teams and we are only 3 rounds in.

You are another keyboard warrior, its very easy to get behind the keyboard and type away without anyone knowing who you are.....

Can't win with blokes like you and especially Athelstone, when you win you say "can't even beat a C grade side" when you lose we hear "we're only a C grade side" I look forward to next week also!

It was a good game, close all day and going into the last quarter with the wind, at six goals to four, we had the game for the taking. Your coach was good enough to put on the flood, but we shot ourselves in the foot by taking the ball to the dead pocket far too often and by not converting some easy shots on goal in the last. To have 80-90% of the play, not get a major and allow you guys an easy goal was pretty shattering, but there's always next time.

And it's pretty dumb to compare our A Grade sides, what you'll pay Colville to play this year is probably more than our total sponsorship. And I bet he won't be doing tequila shots at the bar with you and dancing like Peter Garrett 'til midnight.
