Talk on the national game

Recently I bought a new Lexus 350 but I had to return it to the dealer the next day because I couldn't get the radio to work.

The car salesman explained that the radio was voice activated and demonstrated this brilliant feature.

"Nelson," the salesman called to the radio.

The radio then responded "Ricky or Willie?"

"Willie!" he called back and immediately the radio burst into song "On the Road Again".

Then the salesman calls "Ray Charles," and in an instant " Georgia on My Mind" immediately replaces the Willie Nelson song.

I drove away very happy, and for the next few days, every time I'd say, "Beethoven," I'd receive beautiful classical music for the afternoon.

Then I would say "Beatles," and I would hear a multitude of those great awesome songs from the 60-80's.

It was fun and even my girlfriend got into it too.

"Billy Joel" and up came 'The Piano Man"
"Rolling Stones" and up came "Jumpin Jack Flash" plus many other great Stone's hits.

But yesterday, I had the best experience of all.

A couple tried to run a red light and I nearly creamed my new car, but luckily I managed to swerve in time to avoid hitting them.

I immediately yelled in anger, "Ar$eholes!"

Guess what !!

Immediately up came the song " Good old Collingwood for ever "

*Damn it, I just LOVE this new car!*

How welll did he play on Brown last week - I rate Brown as the best CHF in the league with Pavlich a close second

He was awesome and I was really torn what with Brown being in my SC team. Pleased for Presti though, so far a great comeback from injury and our back six looks so much better when he's there.

I wonder if either of Medhurst, Rocca or Didak will actually play this week. Mick does like to play silly buggers...

The Pies have been a bit up and down so far this year.

I expect them to be around 4-8 at the end of the minor round.

Rocca is finished.

Checking the injury list on my supercoach site I notice Dale Thomas' name isn't on there. I though he was mean't to be injured, or was he dropped?

I can't believe that the write ups say about how soft etc Collingwood were yesterday. They had no forward line (Anthony aside) and a very young and inexperienced midfield During the week people (I think Walls in particular) had said that Carlton wouldn't achieve anything until their bottom 6 stepped up. Collingwoods' bottom six would've played 10 games between them before yesterday.

So in all, I think you can forgive Collingwood's performance yesterday. They did fight, unlike write ups I've viewed this morning, they just had no system into their inexperienced forward line. If they didn't fight, Carlton would've kicked the same as St Kilda because we had enough chances!

The one that did disappoint for Collingwood yesterday was Shaw. Just plain ordinary.

Collingwoods side yesterday - Average age was : 23.18
average games : 75.54

Carlton average age was : 22.59
average games : 69.36

Carlton's yesterday = Yarran 2 games, Robinson = 5, Austin = 7, Armfield = 14, Browne = 14, Hampson 14.

Collingwood Reid = 8, Swan = 8, Beams = 6, Cook = 13, Sidebottom 2, were the only blokes who had played less games then the named Carlton lads.

Carlton has their injuries too. Collingwood can cry me a ******* river....

Leigh Brown, what a spud!

Positives were the emergence of Sidebottom, Jack Anthony's persistence and endeavour and Presti's job on Fev.

It proved saturday Collingwods forward line was completely undermanned without Cloke, Didak, Medhurst, Thomas. I'd say all Collingwood supporters were " HOPING" to get close to Carlton & surely never expected to win.
Collingwood desperately need a (key) fwd to help Cloke out yet until they get one the Pies will continue to struggle especially relying on a Rocca to fill that void.

Most people had Collingwood top 4 at the start of the year! I think at the moment they are playing like a bottom 4 side. But hey i said the bulldogs looked in trouble two weeks ago and after two wins are 5-3. Its good that the competition below the top two is so close.

The game against WCE reaffirms to me how good Mick is as a coach. Will be sad to see him go, if indeed he does go elsewhere.

Carried away with what? Rating him as a coach? I don't think I'm really putting my balls on the line by rating Mick Malthouse as a coach.
