Freo the newest team to have pranks gone wrong...

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

a bit of fun by the boys, spilled by a coach, now 'damage control'

imo they're havin some harmles fun, it's an internal joke. on the other hand KKK is pretty bad news and offensive to some...

if you did (or do) something like this at your club what kind of problems would arise?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Some as Chickengate, IMHO PC going too far by the minority in public circles ... Pranks are part and parcel of all clubs (of any variety).

KU KLUX KIDS!

Postby Drop Bear » Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:02 pm

What sort of dickhead would say that on radio. Surely he knows the media would jump all over it. I'm sure the Club is more than happy with him. Last thing Freo need!

the truth comes out...

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

the bloke's a dead set knob, not even close to KKK... what because the costume was white you idiot!

what i love about the new article is the line 'no indigenous players were involved'... why would you mention that! as if all trouble is caused by indigenous players, he says as he opens a can of worms

When listening to the full media conference from Rosich you'll find that what he is saying is the prank wasn't played on any indigenous footballers but i can see how you thought that nugget by the way it's worded in the story link that was posted. Media outlets should really choose wisely when it comes to which parts they pick out of a media conference as they always give people the wrong context on statements

BTW, I agree with everyone saying it looks nothing like the KKK, more like some sort of bad ghost costume mixed with a Blues Brothers theme.

Well the Prime Minister did visit Perth today, where over a dozen assylum seekers are being treated for burns in RPH. Yesterday's distraction was the "R" word, today was Ghostbustergate!

The decade of the sideshow goes on. Too many media outlets, too many angles, too much bullshit. That get up looks nothing like the KKK. Nice one Malaxos.

Gadj - you're right, looks nothing like the KKK. Looks more like anti-Scientology protestors.
But don't blame the media on this one. Malaxos introduced the KKK - of course there's going to be a flurry of interest.

So there must be a lack of on field incidents to continue with the off field lives of footballers. What if every player stayed at home like good little boys? Will the next target be staking out fast food venues to see if anyone makes an appearance there and run a front cover story on bad food habits? Oooh, these role models, promoting obesity will be the next cry!

Spelly, again, you can't blame the media on a stupid comment by a club's assistant coach.
Anyone can tell you that mentioning the KKK is going to be a red rag to a bull and if it was true it should be - the sad thing is Malaxos had it so wrong.
Deserves to lose his job for stupidity.

I'm not familiar on this mind you, because I thought this prank got out before Malaxos said anything.
