Well done Mark Webber. Well deserved. Battles hard but just has an unreliable car.

Fantastic drive by Webber overnight. Conditions were horrid - almost Adelaide '89/'91 like for those that remember. Webber did the hard work in qualifying posting a brilliant time and held his nerve to finish 2nd.

Hopefully he can push in this year with the title race currently wide open. He's up against it in terms of winning a title - it would almost take a miracle on Red Bull's budget, but he's a class driver, so hopefully a top 6-8 finish isn;t a ludicrous dream.

just need to get these types of results on a consistent basis.

So happy that the McLaren/Ferrari dominance is over and that they are back on slick tyres too :D

I watched it - it was replayed but because Webber was in second at news time at 620pm, the news ran with a mid-race report!

The conditions were incredibly bad. I was actually surprised that the cars weren't required to have front mounted flashing fog lights because it was impossible for drivers to see anything behind them in their mirrors.

Webber now has a third and a second - only one more place on the podium for him to get to now!

Red Bull have progressed well and I expect Webber will have further opportunities this year to push for his maiden race win. The good news for him is that his team dominated last weekends qualifying and race without the rear diffuser used by the Brawn cars. I expect Webber and Vettel to gain a further advantage once this arrives for their cars...

Mark certainly has the talent, but has never had the car. It looks like he'll now have a competitive vehicle which means he'll be expected to produce results. I do think that Vettel will probably get the better of him as the season progresses though...

Brilliant effort by Weeber and Red Bull in Turkey overnight, finishing 2nd after starting 4th on the grid. He's inching closer and closer to his maiden win.

1 22 Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes 58 1:26:24.848 2 10
2 14 Mark Webber RBR-Renault 58 +6.7 secs 4 8
3 15 Sebastian Vettel RBR-Renault 58 +7.4 secs 1 6
4 9 Jarno Trulli Toyota 58 +27.8 secs 5 5
5 16 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota 58 +31.5 secs 9 4
6 3 Felipe Massa Ferrari 58 +39.9 secs 9 3
7 5 Robert Kubica BMW Sauber 58 +46.2 secs 10 2
8 10 Timo Glock Toyota 58 +46.9 secs 13 1
9 4 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari 58 +50.2 secs 6
10 7 Fernando Alonso Renault 58 +62.4 secs 8

Fingers crossed he can climb to the top in the next couple of rounds.

The team is SHIT !!

F1 had NOTHING to do with driver skill and abilities, more so the Team and the car it prepares.....

Put ANY Driver in this years best team so far (Braun) and they'll all win...Jenson Bunton

That's why the Bikes are better. Valentino doesn't need to quickest bike to win as his riding skills are just sublime
as proven by him winning titles with different bikes through the classes.....

Hamilton is struggling this year for the same reason Webber has struggled in the past. If you havent got the car, you have no chance. Sadly this years championship has been handed to Brawn on a plate, by teams not being allowed to do any testing. The team that was the best at the start of the year was always going to stay strong.

I think it's fantastic to see Brawn doing so well problably one of the best brains formula one has ever seen. Considering the team only got permission to race just before the start of the season.

How much input did Honda have into the design of the Brawn Car? Surely if they had something do with it are they regretting their decision to leave?

99% Honda. Evan after Honda pulled out it was still Hondas people that built the car. Will be interesting to see how they go next year when they have to build their own car without the $600m budget behind them.

Well if Max and Bernie get their new rules up they should be able to cope very easily.

on another note currently watching Le Mans 24 hour on 1HD, Torro Rosso have released Sébastien Bourdais to race this weekend. Not most drivers are allowed to compete in both, in the same year. Also a fair few ex drivers are getting a gig too.
