I think you're being a bit modest there Riddler, 116 point winners would be my prediction, I seen someone marking out your oval last night on my way home from work, nothing like getting ready early or was he marking your sponsors logo?

Got a few outs from Athelstone game so i'd be happy with a 1 point win...nah getting in early mate, we know a guy who does it as part of his job and he had a day off and volunteered to do it for us.

To be honest Athelstone are better this year than last year when they smashed us by near on 100 points....bit more experience from higher grades playing in C's and Miller on a HFF is a potential matchwinner.

Ovingham v Angle Vale - The Owls will be too strong...Owls by 78 points

Houghton v Athelstone - Match of the round and although Athelstone will be a team to beat this year i'm backing in The Raiders purely on the fact it is on their home deck...Raiders by 8 points

Adelaide Uni v SHOC - Uni on their home turf by 38 points

North Pines v Henley - As much as i'd like to see The Redbacks prevail here Henley will be far too powerful all over the ground...Sharks by 92 points

My tips would be the same Riddler. Im just hoping we can be a bit more competitive than the 92 points you have picked Henley by ;)

Yo Show, can we get which lads look alright for you guys, Heard Corey Olsen is now skipper, A dog of a footballer in the fact just runs all day and hates to be beaten, good move for the club! heaps of young lads back like Elbrough, Dart and Haines, any of these lads look ok or to much partying and football tallent lost?

You heard right about Corey Olsen he is skipper but he was last year also. He was the obvious choice came out to preseason raring to go. Has a great work ethic just needs to use his voice a bit more but as they say actions speak louder than words. The young lads are gradually coming out. Plenty of talent between them and hopefully that starts to show on the field. Young Dart was impressive in the B's first game but Elborough, Haines and co have not played as yet. Hopefully this week.

so you'd expect them to be around top three by the end of the season then as they finished second last year and are better this year, i look forward to a gd match this week then to give us a real indication of where we are at and what we need to do to be in the mix come the end of the year. :drinkers:

Yeah i'd look at them as being a top 3 contender...finished 2nd at end of minor round and then pretty sure they were knocked out in straight sets in finals.

Saint Pauls v Flinders should be a good game
I feel the game may be won in the ruck, i heard Saint Pauls ruckmen have really improved this year. Anyone agree or have any thoughts on it?

It is their 3rd side, they are always going to be stronger at the begining of the season, for most of us clubs if you have a couple of injuries in your A's, that's all you need to replace, in Athelstone's instance, 2 or 3 out of their A's, a couple out of there B's and you are already looking at replacing half a dozen, then you have to worry about who your C's are missing.

I think that's why we are really looking forward to this match, because Athelstone will be strong and we'll need to play our best. If we win it will be very satisfying.

7 changes to the Ovingham side this week with i think 4 members from our premiership side amongst that. will be much more competitive this week. keen to get win number one under our belts at home.
