Think you'll find the Eagles will be wearing Blue during every home match this season. Apparently the new CEO had a crack at the decisions to go away from it at home with a few people within the Club... I overheard a Board member telling all that they were happy to be put in their place by someone showing some real leadership for our club during presentations recently.....! Only against South will they change to yellow at home this season and this is because South don't have a clash strip.

This game was great, seeing last years grand finalist play 'attempted AFL' stlye footy against a first for the ball opposition resulted in the adequate result. Hard to see both of these teams beating Centrals during the season barring monumental injuries (touch wood)

Nice way to open the season's win tally. Classic Goal by Cicca. Westbrook a good "recruit", and broadbent will get a call up soon for port power.

Bad kicking is bad footy re the first quarter.

Was away so could only watch the game on the TV. Good to see the Blue guernsey being worn, must admit that both teams having gold numbers on their back may have contributed to Grima actually accelerating and taking out mouse in front of where the snouts louts would have been. This was diabolical for the bays putting both of them off of the ground with shoulder issues. Watching it on replay grima could have pulled out, or at least slowed down, no eagle was near this contest.

What did bays fans think of this incident?

Soon after 2 eagles clashed heads going for the ball, but was not comparable.

Eagles pushed Centrals round 1 lost by 9 points(got to 1 point) .Bad kicking was a major reason eagles couldn't get over the dogs .Play the next game during the day(without the heat of round1 before the finals) may just be a different result.

Perhaps the bays should have a clash jumper .Seeing the eagles have a yellow jumper perhaps the bays could produce a better clash jumper.
