The games Eagles V Centrals and Eagles V Glenelg some very iffy umpiring decisions favouring the two GF teams .And then the turn around after 3/4 time yesterday very strange .
But there was no such umpiring issues against West .

Perhaps its nothing but am I smelling some one trying to make sure certain crowd pulling teams make it into the finals.
Something to ponder football fans

Yep. Its a conspiracy against the lower supported sides like Eagles, South and West. A 5000-10000 difference in finals crowds can make or break the SANFL financially. So they definately feel it is worth advising the umpires to favour the clubs with larger support bases.

Funny though, a lot of the time I feel we get a raw deal from the umps its against your mob.

would that have been when you guys couldn't win a game ?
Funny when I watch Eagle players running into an open goal and the defender attacks the Eagles players head its play on no free there .Yep its all in my mind .

As I said in my first post it could be nothing just very bad umpires.

It has come across my mind a couple of times; it's unlikely though.

But we know based on Saturday it can be overcome if the 50/50s go the other way. :) I have said in the past that a team should be good enough to win without the umpires help.

This just backs up what I have come away thinking after playing the Eagles the last two seasons that a majority of there fans are dumb fools with a total lack of knowledge of the game and the worst supporters in the SANFL.

Umpires are bad from time to time everyone has a bad day but to say they go out to deliberatly help out teams with good supporter numbers is a joke.

You have two options Micky go and support a club that has a decent supporter base or better off take a real look at what is going on and realise the umpires are human.

I can be a one eyed supporter when it comes to umpiring but on the whole the games I have watched on TV and live have been handled pretty well. Except for the error in paying a Glenelg mark after a deflection.

Well nice you admit the Mark error .
Not sure I'm a total fool as I also stated that Glenelg had a bad run in the last quarter.Frees that were play on in the first 3 quarters were paid in the fourth.
I may be a fool punter but at least I acknowledge who my footy team is .Who do u support ? And I dont watch the SANFL on the TV as I am at every eagles game.

I haven't noticed them at all this year , which usually indicates a well umpired game

Not having a go OWW .Were u at oval ave Saturday ?Because u must have missed what was payed as a mark

Yes I was at the game and saw the mark in question and like everyone else was suprised it was paid. Umpire was obviously blinded by something else.

Also saw Cicca fake a head high and the umpire made the correct decision of play on.

Saw a lot more correct decisions than wrong and more importantly if the umpires have any doubts they are balling it up and not guessing.

In general other than one or two decisions I think the games are being well umpired.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place

My last comment on this issue. After sitting in the Jarman stand I for one can notice that the umpires stand in the wrong position when umpiring at Woodville. And everyone can argue with me about it ,but just think when the umpire stands and looks right at the sun and shields his face how can he possibly see what is happening.

Just like your spelling.
Mickyj, if you don't have a club under the name, the bye must be the team you support. ;)
