I can not wait to see BL beat the pants off your team, where ever you're from. If I want to suggest a team will be tough to beat after round one, then I bloody well will. If you actually read my post properly you may have noticed I said it would be silly to announce a flag winner after round one....I was told that BL had centrals reserves players in their team.....obviously that was miss-information (from JL no doubt!)...and I said that the way they played I wouldnt be surpised if some of them got a look in there. There was nothing unfair with that comment, I was simply giving BL some credit.

So get off your high horse and let people have an OPINION, this is a FORUM remember. Stop acting like a confrontational little upstart. Obviously after everyones played each other once, we'll have an indication of the top teams, I just think BL will be strong. Glenunga is not that bad that we'll lose every game by that much. Thank you.

There's a fair chance that could change a number of times throughout the year... ;)

i hope not. heccies have been up around the mark in the past two seasons. when they went down from div 3 a while back a few players went to raggies etc

Hectorville will always be around the mark, they are a good strong club... Always a pleasure to play.

and one of the nicest ovals in the league to play footy on to boot.

well at least they have a good oval, thats all that matters!!!! when your a club like hectorville they will struggle to attract quality players because of their surrounding clubs, you would hope your current crop of Juniors can develop and send the team in the right direction. Is Olsen still out there??? he could be a good player but choses to waste he talent in a kick and catch div!!

So he's not a good player because he's playing in a 'kick and catch' div?! STOP THE PRESS...You are all talentless hacks only playing this division because it's so, so, so EASY

who said it was easy, its a tough hard contested div, no questions there!! but what i was saying was he has the skill level and talent to playing a higher div, and yes compared to div 1,2 and most likely divi 3 it is a kick and catch div, a higher div side would run a div 5,6,7 side off their feet!

There are plenty of guys in Div 6 who could play higher, but ditching loyalty and mateship just so you can say you played in a higher Div doesn't sound so appealing to some people.

So you are suggesting that this bloke who as you state has talent should leave Hectorville??? Isnt it blokes like this that have talent we should be congratulating for sticking around the club to try help it move back up the divs?? Surely its easier to get other quality players out to a club if you already have some around.

At the end of the day he's been there a while and has been loyal, wouldn't you like to test your skills in a more demanding div?? thats just my opinion , im sure everyone has different views, more clubs need players like that? all i was getting at is a young player should strive to play the highest level he can, because footy's short!!!

You would have to question why one plays footy. For everyone it's different.

Every club in the lower divisions would have players that could play higher, but for me, and I suspect many others, playing football is about having fun with your mates, keeping fit and socialising. One can meet these criteria in any division.

One other thing - I watched TTG Vs Rostrevor in a trial game recently and I couldn't believe the skill level. It was clinical, almost basketball like, much like what we see in the AFL these days. Not too many heavy hits or contested ball situations though, I would hazard a guess that because of the lower skill level in the lower divisions, it makes for a much more physical and occasionally brutal style of game.

Could've guessed. 'GOTHEBOMBERS' makes inept comments in every part of this forum. Finger in a couple of pies by the looks of things.

thats what heccies have been trying to do with juniors. over the past two seasons + this season, we would have around 8-10 players from juniors playing in A grade.

although i'm glad a few blokes were talking about it as it took the focus off our terriable performance on sat against lockleys and thats not taken any credit away from them they were good but we were a joke we let them score 7goal 5 in the 2nd 1/4 they only kicked 12.12 for the game i think we needed that reality check thats for sure and i'm glad we got it! as i said lockleys were good they're a fit skillfull side they i believe will be in the 5 come bussiness time of the year along with CLG and brahma lodge that only leaves 2 spots so all these 50/50 games are must wins.

seeing you have a hang up about neil partridge and $ scottroo i will let you know why. he has to have a recon on his knee injured in last years gf, no coaching position available at hv and gone back to heccies ( to be with mates)from where he came. if you want to know the large amount of money he was supposedly on then pm me and i will willingly tell you. subject closed from my point of view.
