Well done to Dusty and the EP boys! Great start to the season..

Where does this leave Uni? Were they dissapointing? Or are EP contenders?

according to the coach and captain, they just didn't really click consistently enough - but they said that they were outplayed on the day by eastern park and thus deserved to lose. i'd say that uni will still be around the mark but that gelling the new guys may take some time.

it also adds credence to the theory that div 2 will be a lot closer than people think.

Pro's - Macca is a far more effective on-field coach than he is off-field, his mere presence on field makes such a difference to that side - and if you've ever had to put up with him in the coaches box on the sidelines, you'd know what I was talking about ;)

Cons - his legs were stuggling to get through a game 2 years ago, and to deny a spot to an up-and coming who could fill the spot is a bit selfish - In my opinion only of course.

*edit* further to this, you would think that PNU have enough depth that there wouldn't be the need for coach to don the jumper.

I've heard PNU had a number of top A graders out injured, and were still able to give Seaton a touch up. So I don't think the coach would even think about playing A's.

What the hell happened to Seaton?? Are they no good this year? I didn't think they had lost many players?

We got Stoffy and Tits and Lynchy a few years ago from Seaton and Kells last year. Seaton are always up and down anyway.
Lynchy did his ankle playing against Seaton a few years ago on that carpark they call any oval. Busted ankle landing in a hole and
trying to change in rooms is shocking. Worst changerooms in comp along with Gaza and Woody South when they were in D1 few yearsback

What do you expect 5 star changerooms?
Lynch tried to take a hanger & landed awkwardly, it happens regularly in football.

Yeah, I remember them, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Were they a band or just a group of people protesting about the state of the River Torrens?

I don't have any words to eat but for what it's worth I hear it was a well deserved win and from the first bounce.

How did Wilson Go Boozehound??

Willow was very good. Kicked 5.3 and took some very good contested marks. Uni's defence weren't really able to match up all day. Uni will be ok I believe and will beat a lot of side once they get a run on. Bald headed fella, No. 7 had an outstanding match and would have been second BOG to Gatto.

Good to hear the Uni boys thought the win was well deserved. So much better than hearing a side making excuses.

LADS - They have demon dollars. A card with a dollar amount on it used to purchase drinks...is that what you're talking about?

Mate jump aboard. Never said we would go close to winning the flag but have said from the outset we will be competetive and win our share of games...Staying in div 2 is our focus.

Flinders will definately improve from that drubbing. They have a young side with enormous potential. PHOS may just be THAT good. Cant wait to play PNU after the break...they will be a huge test. Coming to Dwight Reserve won't be easy for them either i'm sure.

I saw the first half of this game and i think Flinders Pk will improve somewhat but PHOS were very good. Matt Rowe was a standout for mine.
