Nah mate, he was listed to play Ressies on Friday, but I believe he got the call up to play A's. Dylan played Ressies with Jason - who apparently played a blinder.

For family reasons Luke went to Greenacres, He played A grade and kicked a goal on the weekend, we wish him all the best for the year, he still shows his face around the club now and then..................

It would be fantasmagorical if we played finals. Henley and Athelstone will be really tough though, we have them the next two rounds.

Henley were apparently outstanding on saturday and obviously fit - ended the game off with a ten goal last quarter blowing the margin out considerably.
plus they're never easy at home

nuggety goodness wrote:well Saturday for us wasn't the best as the result suggests. we had plenty of the ball but were wasteful going forward and there wasn't enough support and pressure in our forward lines. surprisingly we didn't die as quickly as i thought we would on the big SHOCS oval and really it was our second quarter where we lost the game. somethin like 8 goals to 1 i think. some good signs though and with about 7 or so players to come back in the side we will pick up in the next few weeks. good to have a week off as a couple of blokes got injured over the weekend too which didn't help our cause. SHOCS were good but not that good. plenty of improvement to come for Ovies.

just in case you didnt realize nuggety....shocs ended up 2nd bottom in d 7 last year .won 5 games only, so they werent that crash hot last year. but saying this, their A grade are up in div 1 now so may have recruited well to filter down to their C grade....guess time will tell, welcome to div7
THE NEW ERA BEGINS.....HIRD AND THOMPSON.....EX CAPTAINS EX CHAMPIONS EX.....cellent choice

Hate to burst St.Pauls Bubble, but that comment about the raggies C Grade side fielding a side full of a and b grade players is laughable, None of the players in that side fielded was an A grader!!! nor has played A's in the Last two seasons at the raggies, 5 or so players from saturdays team played B grade last season but they will not feature in the b grade this season as they are clearly in their twighlight years. St. Pauls were just outplayed by a well coached team!! congrats to the raggies, it will be interesting to see if the c grade sides such as Henley and the raggies can keep the pace if injuries creep into their higher grades.

No bubble to burst mate I believe I said Athelstone were too good and also said if they keep that same side they will have a good year...merely stated on hear what Raggies players themselves have said!

I don't reckon Blair Miller (mohawk bloke) is in his twilight years...kid can play should not be playing C grade footy...pity about his haircut though

yeah dont know who would have said that to you, everyone in that side are c grade players, Miller is a good player but is unable to train, everyone else in the selected side would have been up for selection in the 2's but didn't make it. But im sure the rest of the A grade sides will find there feet, and should still be stronger through the year over henly, shocs and Raggies who are playing their third and fouth string sides.

The Brahma Lodge Football Club would like to pass onto the league its appreciation in allowing us to host the Angle Vale v North Pines Round 1 game.

The Club would like to congratulate both teams on their supporters and players in the way that they treated the club facilities, especially pleasing was the politeness received by the bar and canteen staff from all involved. Both Clubs should be commended for this.

Bradman, just interested if you still think SP are the team to beat?
I know its only 1 week but you managed to talk them up something shocking without seeing ONE single game so surely now you have an even more sure opinion?
