Surely if the crows suspend bock they wont allow him to play for the Eagles. If they were going to have him play it would be for the crows.

They are reporting on Adelaide Now that he has been suspended for at least one AFL game. Not uncommon for players to be suspended to play for teh "reserves".

I expect Bock to play this week. What mental state he'll be in is another story.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Seriously what mental state would you expect him to be in. It is a game of football he can leave the rest of the stuff off the field where it belongs. He has been charged with assault, big deal plenty of people get charged with various offences on a saturday night and have to go back to work on Monday and they are fine why cant Bock do the same thing.

He could be fine but WYC don't tell me you in your time in footy haven't seen players dropped to The "reserves" for discipline reasons play with a poor attitude given the event of the previous weeks. Even happens at SANFL level when players go from the league team to the reserves.

Yes he could go out with the right attitude and tear us a new one for all the reasons you've listed above. But look at Burgoyne, Johncock (last year) and even Modra at Westies (when he got dropped once) they performed at less than what their ability said they should and that comes down to their attitude.

I'm merely posing the question that if he does play for the Eagles on the weekend his mind might not be 100% right.

If the Eagles play to their best with the help of a couple of Crow listed players Shirley & Bock the Eagles can cause an upset. Not forgetting Glenelg has a bad record at Oval Ave as well. My tip Eagles 19 pts.

So will bock be able to play for us ?
If he does then Kenny Mac can play at FF .

There's nothing to suggest that he couldn't - surely the Crows would want to keep him match fit. I've heard of players at Vic clubs not being considered for selection for AFL due to off field issues being able to play for their VFL feeder club so I don't see why the Bock issue would be any different.

My guess is Glenelg will have an unchanged line up given the fact we had no injuries reported in the 'Mail last week and that we'll probably won't have Tommy Logan given the Port Power's injuries and suspensions.

Possible line up

Hinge Duldig Fisher
Backwell Grima Kirkby
McConnell Holmes Ruwuldt
Meyer Button Mules
Panozzo Mills Adligton

Cranston Block B Kane

(from) C Kane Willoughby Sellar Vallance McGregor

The bays to win by 26 points. Losing streaks come to an end eventually.

I think this will be a great game of footy down at Woodville Oval this weekend and I think we may just see a little upset...

The Bays have a pretty poor record at the gorund and over the last 10 contests they have lost 9 and drawn 1...

That draw being the game back in 07 when Josh Mahoney was running into goal as the siren sounded...

I think the Eagles have a couple of quality players coming back in Treeby and Westbrook and reckon they are a real chance...

The Bays will be keen to do something about that record and proved last year winning at Alberton this is not an issue anymore...

I just feel a bit of an upset brewing on the cards and think in a very close game the Eagles will get up by under a goal...

The problem with the record since 2000 at Woodville, is that I only recall Glenelg being favourites (or expect to win) last year. 2007 in both matches I think were probably each-way.

Hope you are right Big Phil!

Treeby and Westbrook if he plays could provide a bit of a spark on Saturday but will need to be a sustained 4 quarter effort from everyone to get over the line this week.
Trust the process.

BOP the reason our club is where we're at is because of supporters like yourself - get behind the team or go and use your negative support because elsewhere we don't need negative people like you supporting our great club. Even I get frustrated from time to time with our performances but I always back my Eagles 100%. Go the Mighty Eagles.

EHL, the club is where it is because of supporters like me........what a load of crap. Gee my tip is going to make them lose, Oh No, maybe I should change it to Eags by 40 and then they will win!!!

I call it the way I see it, i'm a realist.I would hate to see your footy tips over a full season if you tip with your heart each week. If I thought they were going to win I would tip them, but they have not showen me enough at this stage. I hope I'm so wrong and we win.
I feel this is a changing time for the team and it will take time for us to gel into a decent side. I think we will improve as the season goes on.

OK BOP maybe I was a little harsh in my criticism of you. I am passionate about my Eagles and the constant negativity from a lot of our supporters erks me. I feel that we all should get behind the boys rather than run them into the ground with criticism at every opportunity.
