eudunda is a big no no for the comp. dont think they are anywere near good enough to do well in the comp. riverton on the otherhand did well in both trials last year vs freeling and kapunda and there juniors are more than capable of doing well.

Quack i would love to see riverton playing in the Barossa again... I know and understand why we left the BLG in the first place but i believe the club has turned a corner on and off the track since then and i believe we could shake things up if we were to move... can not see it happening of RSMU's back... there would have to be an invite from the association i reckon... even then what would the NEFL's stance be on it?????... put personally... I would much prefer a trek to nuri or Tanunda then to clare or burra.

exactly and in the trails you have recently had with freeling it has shown that yous can be a big force, the only thing that worried me was your colts going down by 20 goal.

Dont want to keep harping on it but Nelson was used as Willastons number 1 Ruckman both times against our boys. Bennie was played in defense.

Tanundas win against Brighton shows they again will be the team to beat. Wouldnt read too much into the Willaston v South trial, i hear South Gawler had a few out.

Tanunda V Gawler Central grand final my early prediction.

With heart being the centrepiece of the gawler central ethos in the past decade only 2 players Kym Herrman and Brad Taylor have ever been able to deliver on that promise resulting in very few A grade grand finals apperances in the blg and limited premierships won by the tigers in their 120 year history.

true trial games count for nothing, but unless sth had a CHF, FF, FB & Centre out I doubt they will improve much more than on what has been seen in their trial form.

i played that year and that game and nelson played the first half of the failed GF season and then was dropped and did not return with Troy Bennie used in the ruck.

too many celebratory drinks by the sounds, i'll say it again, Nelsons greatest highlight in football was a losing elimination final and his profile in the bunyip last year confirmed that.

Pac-Man, there has never been a more useless ruckman to get the A Grade role at willaston in my 25 years of experience with the club. He served as a launching pad for the opposition ruckmen and rarely got his hands on the ball anywhere else he waddled to on the ground.

Didnt see the game but luckily enough south did have a FF, CHF, a few midfielders and two of their better defenders out... alot of kids were playing from the reports i have had.

North won by six points. Better use of ball in front of the sticks would have seen the margin bigger. Angaston had a large number of players out (as you pointed out in the Riverland thread), I'd expect they would have won if they had a full side.

Players like Andrew Bevis, Paul Vandenberg will play up forward...Craig Fowler and Casey Schell are two of Souths better defenders and they did not play...

Riverton should come back into our league as it would be so much better not having the bye. Riverton are a strongish team and will be great competition for some teams. A negative with riverton coming in is that the gawler teams will have a long journey. a good hour.

I'd rather hike to Riverton than go to ******* Williamstown in the middle of winter.

If these guys are South Gawlers launch pad for a tilt at the 2009 premiership i dont think there is much threat AGAIN from the boys at Evanston.

The mighty Craig Dawe coached Tigers will be too Ferocious for South i am afraid.

Mate, i dont know how much BLG you watched last year but Schell held down CHB all last year for south...he never played on the ball! fighting out of his weight division each time... probably only got beaten once against Coghill, but held the likes of Commane, Britton, Brady and Casey Thomas goaless!!

I would say that would be true. I was told that is what Ross Christie said before he would sign.

I still beleive BD still have 1 import position to fill.

Pinch Hitter Craig Dawe has already shown at this stage of his coaching career he is very much about smoke and mirrors and using illusions to create opportunity.

What i can gather is Craig is opting for a small forward line with Jenner , Hahn , Taylor and Scott to produce winning scores week in week out. All of these boys are kicking bags on any given Saturday, just depends which one brings his A game to the park.

Also i expect we havent heard the last of the Glen Graham fiasco. The 6ft 6 hulk figure put in a solid pre season at Tiger land but was refused clearance from Willaston. If young Spoofy Graham was released it would of free'd up Heberlee to play up forward and create some major headaches.

With Willastons ruck problems maybe Rian Nelson would be welcomed back to Elliot Goodger reserve with open arms. How would the Willaston faithfull feel about that Hitman?
