My tip for round 1

When will Henley learn that a game of footy goes for 4 x 20 minute quarters plus time on?

Coming off the ground at half time with a small lead, you would have thought the game was over. It reminds me of the semi final last season when at 3/4 time they thought the same thing.
While they have a mentality such as that, they won't win a lot of games and it's a habit they could well do without.
Well done Gepps, and running out the game as you did even with a couple missing will make the others at least take notice.

Least we won by a Couple over more of the money boys next to you lot at home. Fancy Henley or Gepps slagging anyone about mentallity. Neither of u have won a flag befoer and all you do is try to buy one. Neither of u will win a flag while you dont have a footy culture. Buying one dont count ace boy. How bout fixing up the goat strip you play on beforehanding out more cash. Try winning a flag in your sad lifetime before crapping on about mentallities Ace boy.

What an intelligent post from a very intelligent individual. Thanks for the reference about our beautiful oval too, must be a while since you've seen it or just another uneducated, wild guess. Footy culture, what is that, would you know?
Either take your medication or put the straight jacket back on, you're making a fool of yourself.......................still

Gepps Cross beating Henley was a bit of a surprise, how did the SANFL team ( Henley ) get beaten with the amount of stars they have in that side, i thought they might go through undefeated this year, i was wrong again.
I'm just waiting to hear how many players they had out yesty must of been alot!
Good start to Gepps winning that one, i would say Henley would of had that pencilled in as a win before arriving.
Reading aces notes Henley thought it was over at half time.

SHOC were quite impressive for the first game up in div one. They really pushed the gullies after a slow start. It was all equal at 3 quarter time but TTG's fitness proved the difference in the last quarter. All the new recruits did well for the gullies.

Matey, your footy culture is tied up with the Port Magpies and they have enough trouble of their own at the moment.

Gaza looks like struggling big time this year, SHOC Rostrevor & Districts should join them & fill the bottom 4.

You've answered your own question 09, NM played for the Magpies, not their 'offspring' Port District and he knows what's going on, he's up to speed and in the real footy world, not fantasyland.

Holm has a depressed fracture of the cheekbone, which is unfortunate after getting a whole heap of the ball in the first quarter and a half, but Polly is fine.

Benny Pahl played a cracker on the weekend, his work rate for a big fella is second to none. Looks to be filling the boots left empty by Sam Garfoot very nicely.

Also good to hear SHOCs were competitive against gullies for most the day. Chatting too a gullies player yesterday and he reckons they were a very decent outfit.
