Whilst he game at Richmond was ordinary, it was still 100% better than the AFL rubbish I had to sit through Friday night at Footy Park...at least we could see a genuine contest without umpires just having to blow the whistle at every opportunity they got (and then guess). West has improved, I was very disappointed with the Eagles...had our chances but found a way not to win.
This team may take a few weeks to click and get our theoretical game style into practice. The last kick of the day summed it up - Jarrad was way too far out to score but he waited, changed his mind, then waited again until all of West dropped back and then directed his kick towards Moran and another West tall marked it uncontested. I think this week we will bring in Treeby obviously and another tall forward in Staple who knows how to attack the goals. Young Rowntree shows a lot but he is not ready and maybe Rimington is not finding enough of the ball to justify his spot.

Treeby must come in, but I'd play him mainly forward and having a few stints in the centre - much like how Inkster used to be used. Fitzgerald is the other I'd play (did he have a bad pre-season to start in the reserves?). Out goes Rimington and Rowntree.

I thought Westies were very good & unlucky not to win the game - thought they were the better side for most of the day.

Our younger players look OK - 41 Travis Lane looks good.

No. 11 Ryan something for Westies - is he on Crows or Power List??? - impressed me greatly. :)

West have improved significantly - we have a LONG way to go! :?

I predict a LONG season for our supporters if that is what the team is going to serve up week in week out.

Salter - or should I say SULKER - worries me.
Like Cicca in forward line

I thought Pete Fiacci was our best player - did not make a mistake all day.

11 is Ryan Anderson, not AFL listed.

That surprises me - I think he should be!

How long has he been @ the club?

This is his second year, recruited from Coburg where Collins coached him.

I would like to Staple and Dawson in the forward line and playing as forwards.

Look I'm not going to bash Ronnie online just yet .but his main saviour has just retired from the Board .Perhaps the writing might just be starting to get written.
And thats all I am going to say online .
Prefer to wait until the season is over .

Cheers

Not last week but the week before on "Almost Football Legends" he was in action in one of the three vidoe's sent in, kicking a goal from the boundary on an impossible angle while playing for Coburg

McKenzie played really well and reliable as always. McGregor and Stewart played well. Jacky got lots of the ball but some soft efforts going in to get the ball at times and it will be things like that that stop him getting into the Crows.

I also think Miles was very useful when used in the ruck.

Probably the only passengers I thought were no. 41 (Lane?) and in particular no. 17 (Davoren??)

Treeby needs to be brought back for one of them next week.

r u serious mate
laney a passenger
kicked 3 goals hes only 17
great pressure around foward lines never gives up
id start watching the games a bit closer and stop bagging players

You are right about Lane; I didn't see him stop chasing when he needed to. And I liked what I saw of him last year on debut (and still do). ;)
