Are HWE stocking up before the points system comes in?

Somehow I dont think watering the oval is their priority based on its current condition .

Recruiting fullbacks hey, wonder what the Jack thinks about that ](*,) :axe:

Are you referring to the condition of the oval Swamp? Would you please explain to the jury how you have come to this conclusion, keeping in mind you probably haven’t been any closer to the oval than the highway since about July last year?

Yes Ace I am, why are you the only one in SA that is surprised by this? Have you sown something there this year? Grass that grows by any chance?

I'll stand corrected Ventura if the oval is in a reasonable condition!

Nice pic in the Producer Ventura....leaving the best looking blokes out of the photo definately made you look a bit more respectable though

If you were prepared to move further than 2m from your beer you may have been more than a spec in the back ground ;)

On Producer photos, thought i spotted Dean Kemp in a Bombers guernsey but turns out its Matty Koch. Will he be playing A's this season?

"Based on its current condition" you should know swamp ;) However if you missed it on your recent visits the oval is looking good, reasonably hard but covered, not going to worry me as ill be the designated "Calf Kicker" for a while I reckon, looking to be an exciting season though. Looks like instead of welcoming another club to the league the clubs have recruited about 2 teams worth of players between them (majority Vir and HB), should breath a bit of life into it.

=D> =D> nice call.

"Calf kicker"?? I have heard of some heavy tagging strategies e.g. scratching, squirrel grip, The Hopoarti (spel?) method and pulling hair to name a few but Calf Kicker, please explain. Is the knee any chance this year?

Pretty happy with it actually! Last I heard we needed a tall forward to sit in the square and help DT and Jez out, you know a "if in trouble just bang it up to the big guy in the square" kind of thing! Not much running required for that, sounds a LOT like my go! :D

Mallala Vs Nurioopta game on Saturday was a great trial and I think both clubs would be happy with the standard and benefit of the game.

Nuri belted the pies in the B's with far more mature and strong bodies along with a bit more class.
In the A grade, Nuri started really well with the pace of the game and pressure on the ball carrier as high as I have seen it for a long time. Both side tackled really well which always makes for entertaining viewing. Nuri lead for most of the day and got out to about 5 goals at one stage just after half time. Mallala showed some good signs pulling the lead right back slowly to loose by about 6 points (give or take a couple of points). Scores read something like this Nuri 9. 9. 63 def Mallala 7. 15. 57. Mallala prob had 55% of the ball but finished poorly in front of goal. Pretty even team performance with no real standouts and importantly no major injuries.
