so what are the key matchups you think? same as last yrs gf?
should be a cracker of a game again

Much anticipated game Saturday night from SN boys perspective. Has been a long Summer since Sept last yr. A couple of personel changes with both sides id say but the nucleus of both sides would be the same. Both have Dangerous Midfields which most of the time determine the outcome. Hopefully the game gets a decent crowd being a twilight game and unveiling of the lights at Goodwood Oval. Big day for both clubs with all 3 grades kicking off one after another at the same Venue.

So what time do each of the grades start I Know you stuffed up with the murray bridge one so hes your chance Winger

C Grade start at 2pm
B Grade at 4pm
A Grade at 6:30pm

Murray Bridge pulled out the 3 sides intended after id posted about the start times in which there were supposed to be 3 games (U18s, Bs and As) Instead our B's and 18s had a mixed internal and Murray Bridges available 26 players all played in the A grade game. Rarely will stuff up the start times considering i need to be suited up to play..

Mite head out to the sat night game salis n v's goodwood. salis north never seem to have enough goalkicking power against goodwood going by past results and last years gf, unless they play Cutting at full forward but then lose the midfield drive
The 2 trial games i watched Shane Jordan has been playing at full forward and doing very well
just not the best kick but leads and marks very well
Add Eugene Warrior and Andrew Ross as dangerous goal scorers and it should keep the Saints defence busy. Problem in the past has been getting it in quick enough so GWoods talls dont flood back which they do well on their turf (being small).
So whats the excuse for losing at home and at thebarton
Definately no excuses Lads but just commenting in reference to the talk of our Goalscoring potential. they were the better side. Just pointing out one of our downfalls and not all of them!

After a chat with some GAZA lads following selection night last night, they seem very confident to hit the ground running as they did last year. Plenty of new faces, to possibly replace their losses from last season. Havent heard much of them on here, does anyone give them a chance? Or same old story for GAZA, around the mark then stumble or choke at the pointy end?

My tip for round 1

When will Henley learn that a game of footy goes for 4 x 20 minute quarters plus time on?

Coming off the ground at half time with a small lead, you would have thought the game was over. It reminds me of the semi final last season when at 3/4 time they thought the same thing.
While they have a mentality such as that, they won't win a lot of games and it's a habit they could well do without.
Well done Gepps, and running out the game as you did even with a couple missing will make the others at least take notice.

Least we won by a Couple over more of the money boys next to you lot at home. Fancy Henley or Gepps slagging anyone about mentallity. Neither of u have won a flag befoer and all you do is try to buy one. Neither of u will win a flag while you dont have a footy culture. Buying one dont count ace boy. How bout fixing up the goat strip you play on beforehanding out more cash. Try winning a flag in your sad lifetime before crapping on about mentallities Ace boy.
