Central United v Mitchell Park Will be hard to pick United until they show something resembling form, though Mitchell Park will find the going tough after being promoted through finishing 3rd.
Hectorville v Colonel Light Garden You can't go past a team that beat a div 5 side by over 10 goals in a trial.
Paralowie v Lockleys - I just can't pick this one. Saw both teams in trials and both have their strengths. I think Lockleys might just outrun the Roos.
Trinity OS v West Croydon - Only because it's at home.

paralowie beat a div4 side by over 10goals.

That's nice sweetheart, no doubt you'll prove me wrong then ;)

how r we all?? long time reader first time replier..

been reading some pretty funny stuff on here about all the sides in div 6, which apparantly is only brahma lodge and glenunga..i just have a few things to say..firstly to glenunga, they have to be kidding me when they say how good there new recruits are, s.fox (even tho he IS playing for victor harbor) is a good footballer but there are a lot better than him in div 6..and your recent GSFL pickups, what a joke..bodie wilson..i wouldnt get too excited

secondly i dont understand why teams like lockleys, hectorville and especially clg havent been talked about as teams to beat this year. does anyone realise that clg have lost no quality players (the crichton boys did nothing last year) and have picked up 7 or 8 very quality players included one player with league experience. clg finished top last year pumping most sides at least once, so what to say they wont do the same again.

Probably will again during the year, but seems to be the main game in September that they have trouble with.

Exactly. Have looked good during year only to either fall over in the main game or fail to get there.

Well said, some of these teams are in for a big shock, I know for a fact some of the quality players the top teams from last year have picked up, without losing too many. It may take a few games for some of these teams to gel together but when they do, there will be some big scores kicked this year

Thats great for the kid, (not saying he can or can't play as I do not know the lad) but have seen many players that age win these medals and go on to be average football players. It matters what team they play in, how well developed they are etc etc. If he was that good he would be at a league club

the kid could play when he was young, but since then (5 or 6 years ago) he has "filled" out into his body..he has great skills and can read the play but as far as his movements go he cant exactly break any lines..and his 5 foot stature wont help his marking abilities

he'll be bashing and crashing packs, gettin the hard ball in the middle then resting deep in a pocket using his silky skills to kick a few or hit players coming out of defence.

From what I heard you guys were missing about ten walk up starters although Gardens did look solid. Young Steve Cooper looks like a decent pick up for you blokes.

clg, credit where its due, they were very very good..if 11 is harvey then he is quite a handful..they are fit and up and running..any team playing them will need to be right on the ball

as i said..they were easily up to div 5 level when i saw them..they will smash some teams and i cant see anyone getting close to them..

that's right, he has already turned out to be a great bloke around, along with all the other new lads around the the club. no ONE new player is going to win games off their own boot, but there's a cohesive desire at the club right now which is different to recent years. unity wins games.
