Agreed not as big spenders as they once was, but they are still up there with the other 2 mentioned

I understand what your saying FF .... But what I meant was everyone pays. If you look at the top 5 clubs last year they
are the ones everybody talks about as buying players to win a flag ...
I just think big deal get on with it . And I know there are some players earning decent money at SNFC
but if they were not there i woundnt enjoy watching them play but I do get the fuzzys when one of the young home grown
boys does something special and you think to yourself now that was worth watching and showing your support

crikey - (Gator Aid - aka - Gator, Aceman, cockeyed chook) and Lads arguing over who is geeting the most coin. Fancing Salisbury North and bloody Gepps getting into a blue). You 2 are miles in front of everyone with the payment stakes. Bloody joke. Both a disgrace and closely followed by Goodies and henley

Ace. heard the club is naming the trainers room in honour of ' big ' Frac. if so well done to him and the club. he would feel a bit embarrassed with the attention i would think but deserves all regonition that comes his way. if true is there a "formal' naming date and time ?

It has already been done, he was both embarrassed and stoked. A great bloke that epitomises the term "clubman", does it all for nothing, won't even accept a free feed or drink.
He's laid up again with his foot but still came on Sat and no doubt will be there this Saturday for a look.

i love it how everyone goes on and on about cash....especially when the clubs with the most cash behind (social clubs and community clubs ie. pokies and the likes) them try telling everyone they dont pay players....

also just take a look at the people playing at each club....all but 2 of henleys recruits are juniors from the club and know just about every bloke out there....wouldnt mind putting up a fair bet that most a sick of a certain SANFL club...many port players also played juniors at districts or know many players out there....

then you look at clubs with other ex SANFL players coming back....were they all juniors there? my bet is they weren;t and i reckon it wold take a fair bit more coin to get blokes out to a club where they have never played before or know very few people....

but seriously....get over the cash situation and onto some footy talk....money is money....if clubs buy players and cant win a flag stiff s*&T and well done to clubs who PLAY as a 'team' not thos that try to BUY a 'team'. the victory is so much sweeter!!

anyone got any info on a young lad out at Gepps named hudson? apparently he is a talent from centrals?....

Much anticipated game Saturday night from SN boys perspective. Has been a long Summer since Sept last yr. A couple of personel changes with both sides id say but the nucleus of both sides would be the same. Both have Dangerous Midfields which most of the time determine the outcome. Hopefully the game gets a decent crowd being a twilight game and unveiling of the lights at Goodwood Oval. Big day for both clubs with all 3 grades kicking off one after another at the same Venue.

Not playing as a ruckman, we've got 2 bigger than him as ruckmen, playing CHF so your CHB better be on his metal. Sorry you haven't got any money, where's the grant money gone?

Can't use that name, I've got a patent on it! ;)

Didn't you guys get a govt grant for some building works?
Not implying Modbury would do this but it wouldn't be the first time a sporting club has used a small portion of that for side benefits. I reckon I know of a couple without thinking too hard about it.

Thought you might like that one ;)

The football club has recieved nothing in the way of grants. We sit under the sporting club and so have no access to grant money they may recieve. We benefit from it via facilities and as you can tell with the change rooms that is very little ;) They do support us in other ways and do a great job however financially being part of the sporting club effects us
