looked real good..positive movement from midfield,,plenty of targets up front..

it was fairly hot out there..looked to be pretty fit.

I think nairne were without a couiple of their stars..

I see Ramblers got smashed on the weekend by Salsbury. I guess Div 1 is a very high standard, & they have lost probably 4 of their top 6 players from last year.

Torrens Valley had about 5 out, but had 5 guns in their side, not sure who they were 2 midfielders, 2 forwards and a backman. Tailem had Muffy, Raidis, Comer, linke, Bell, Robertson, Kreuger & Thomas out.

Are all those blokes likely to be available for Round 1, Scratchin?

Only 2 who may not play are Bell & Robertson who are injured and with easter coming up you wouldn't risk them. All the other guys are ready to go from what I've been told

Did anyone see that story on Bohdan Cybulka in the Sunday mail's footy guide. The old man says he was pretty good but didn't know he'd wonm 7 Mail Medals. Tailem could do with someone like him now...

WELCOME TO ROUND 1 in the RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE
just to let everyone know there are some new rules this year,
-Nil tolerance to umpires by supporters/coaches/players all heavy abuse will result in fine an games for players.
-Wait for goal umpire to finish waving flag before kicking out?
-??No Rush Behinds like AFL?? still pending.

NOW INTO THE TIPPING SIDE OF THINGS

Ramblers vs Mypolonga
Mypolonga - look like they will still be up in the top 3 for 2009 they have recruit a few players so they shud come in handy against the 2008 Premiers, Ramblers football club is still in Party mode from the grand final over 6 months ago they have been switched of and only recruited 1 player but they have lost over 4 Premiership players in Morris, Button, Dougall, Machetti and R.Peach, in this case i see that Mypo will be to strong an im tipping Mypo by 21-30
Imperials vs Jervois
Imperials- They have recruited well and look like they are going to be a physical team this year, i done a road trip for there trials and i havent seen a dominant in senior footy like Imps were against Barossa, they were young talented and very very built compared to last year, Jervois have had a quiet Summer, havent heard much going around exept they have lost the HUNGER the PASSION to win footy, there the Party Club now an i see it with Zac Ewer missing they will struggle for top 3 an i can see Imperials getting over them by about 10 goals this weekend with Matt "Leo" Seyers kicking over 5.

Mannuam vs Tailem Bend
Tailem Bend- What do i say about Tailem they have reformed the club from dual wooden spoons to becoming one of the most talked about clubs in RMFL, im just going to tip them by 20 points got nothing to talk about

Tailem weren't dual wooden spooners. They did come last in 2007, but Mannum were spooners in 2006 and Meningie last year.

Appears like the writer is trying to add "comedy value" to his previews. Seems a bit harsh (and disrespectful) on someone with a footballing CV that most would dream of...!!

Yeah he did that late in year about the Full Forward at Imperials and how "large" he was. I heard the player approached him and had a go at him at a game. His response was.."well is there anything I said that is untrue?"...I guess the answer is no...
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!
