Plenty of positives came out of the game for Nth Pines although we would have lost (final score not sure as the score board was not relevant from Nth Pines point of view) I did stick around for a few beverages at Brahma Lodge and think that the atmosphere there was great and I beleive that a club that can build a great scene around there club off the field is well on there way for a succesful year on the field. All the best of luck to Brahma Lodge this year.

FYI, I managed to gather some further detail on Saturday nights trial game:

1st game 3 x 20 minute quarters

BL B Grade 12 - 3
NP A & B Grade 9 - 4

2nd game 3 x 20 minute quarters

BL A Grade 15 - 13
NP A & B Grade 6 - 1

NP had a squad of about 30 that rotated through both games
BL had a B Grade squad with a couple of A Graders with the A Grade having 18 topped up by a couple of B Graders

NP had about 10 - 15 out with a cricket presentation
BL had about 12 A Grade Squad & 9 B Grade squad out with cricket finals etc

#6 for NP had a small graze on his left knee, #14 for BL was recently engaged and is planning the wedding after footy season, #21 for NP wore white boots and blue jocks

and no.6 for HV magoos I predict will be in a lot of pain come tonight

Smart ass ;)

Probably wont see Steed playing up forward Quichey. More likely in the centre where he played for the Raggies. Will complement the current midfield group nicely with his size and experience. As for our full forward, thought you would have heard through your spies who is playing there this yr.

He has gone to play with a good friend at Glenunga, he played his Jnr days with Willunga before giving up the game to travel and pursuit his number one sport and attempt the Golfing Pro Circuit. After a few years of golf he has decided to give the game away due to frustration and has resided back in Adelaide to study. He will take a few games to find his feet but should be able to hold his own in Div 6, last time we spoke he was happy to be around Glenunga and said they are a club that in recent times has not had much success so he is hoping to be able to help them turn that around. Off the field he will provide good entertainment with his antics!!!

That's me. Hi i'm 'Brad thompson'. To be honest, i'm going to struggle to get a run in the 2's at Glenunga. I don't know who is hyping me up? could be a number of peanuts. Hopefully i've put a target on my head and i'll be tagged out of the games if i get selected in the B Grade.

Don't speak too soon. He was one of our best in the trial. Will play good footy in this grade if he stays injury-free.

He could be good for the club I think, he is very close to getting a few of us others out for a run just for the fun of it. A bit the same as what has happened at CLG two Victor lads went out for a kick now almost out whole year 12 class is a having a run.

I may look silly, but what would i gain from talking myself up. Get a target on my head. hardly what you want. I talk up a few mates on here just to take the piss, surely not everything on here is taken as gospel. I can imagine it now- hours before the game when the coach is talknig match-ups ' hey coach, i read on SA FOOTY FORUMS' that there's this bloke who will kick 15 goals from the back pocket' get a grip!

Put Thompson to number one, Fox has signed a clearance to Victor and may well sign a contract this week just in time for round one.

Thompson kicked a bag in their trial over the weekend so i'm told. Set up quite a few with his dash through the midfield too. Not sure what to make of him, two sides to every story. Lets see how he goes round 1, then we can make an educated judgement. I did notice however, that he isn't a registered player yet. Does he need a clearance from somewhere?
