Yeah they (Luke and Ben Burgess) get on really well.

I guess Luke is just enjoying a break from football at the moment.

I am sure and hope he will become more and more involved at Bomber land as time goes on.

Yeah he is a top bloke. And very very modest for an absolute gun!

Well done Jarred Allmond - hopefully the start of a long career at SANFL and maybe higher.

Is that code for "we didn't win?"

Two Wells always seem to be talking up potential but not really delivering. Is that an annual thing for them?

No its fact for "no scores were kept on the scoreboard" - the game looked close and I don't know who won.

It's a 6 Q trial game, it's march, I am sure the club got to see the players it wanted.

Haven't heard anyone talking them up - quite the opposite in fact - most picking them for bottom or second on this forum.

Bagging teams about trials is pretty boring.

How did any new recruits go over the weekend?

Two Wells - Jumbo?
Virginia?
Mallala - Swamp?

I noticed on the clearance website Benny Lamond and Justin Michael are back for the Peckers. Two very handy pick ups.

Well if there is a god...he has not yet answered my prayers! :)

But anything is possible. Has been out to a couple of trainings to punish us with running and ball drills, which was really good.

Hopefully he gets the itch to play again once SANFL and APFL starts!

I think Luke McCabe still has some sort of role with Centrals all be it one day a week plus game days. They would be silly not to use him in some form given his experience.

I heard he is presenting the jumpers at Mallala guernsey presentation this year, so I'm looking forward to hearing him speak.

Number 1 actually! He won our B&F last year. Dylan Cicolella is the only other definite one that I'm aware of. Along with Jeff Cowan and Amos Wilson with knee recons! So yeah, a few! Dylan's gone up to the sun, surf and sand of the Gold Coast. Can't blame him really! Dunno how much footy he'll get to play, the lifestyle might make it a bit hard to get out there every Saturday! He does love his footy though.

Just an update on Ciccy! Apparently they had their first game on the weekend, and Ciccy was best on for his new side, and got the most courageous award, which involved a mug... Apparently he was in bed by 10pm! He must be getting old! His mum was worried that she couldn't contact him, thinking he got injured or something, but it was only his liver that had taken the punishment! They got flogged though apparently.

Couldn't agree more Francis - each team has its agenda for the day, winning the game is generally not the highest priority

Sansbury - quite impressive
Spiteri - will be a very handy player (kicked the first goal from about 40m :D )
Struck - we all seen him play juniors and with a couple of years senior football under his belt now he is even better
There was one bloke I didn't know running around in the "b" half that looked pretty good.
2 U/17s from last season, Leighton and Franklin looked comfortable as well.

Was a good hitout Donkey. We played 2 quarters of B Grade then 4 quarters of A grade. Perfect conditions apart from the heat, but both teams battled well. Played in good spirits and well done to the Eagles boys for hanging around for a few beers after the game. Couldn't tell you the score cause I don't know if it was being kept or not. Got another trial at home this week against BBH and looking forward to it.

How good is it now that footy season is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scores that were taken loosely from the bench had United up by 5 goals after 2 quarters of predominantly B-graders and then after 4 quarters of predominantly A-graders, united down by just under 2 goals.
