Idont think to many teams will be coming on here namimg squads with only 5 more sleeps to the first game (not that i am counting). I would hope not every a grade side would be finalised till after thursday night, still 2 training runs to go. From my understanding Brahma lodge will only be missing1 or 2 players (as long as nobody gets injured at training) for the first game this week. After saturday everybody will know of brahma lodge's squad. Only 122 hours and 45 minutes till game time (well maybe not, could be 2 hours earlier after the full back, goal square incident in the last quarter of the trial)

Gums had most of their new recruits playing except Quinno. We had Holland, Barnes and a few others out so a few b graders played 2 games.

Money well spent. The entertainment given to us by Payney and a few of your cricketers was priceless

Why would any team name a squad for the whole season?? I can understand having a squad of say 25 on a thursday night that are in the running to play A-Grade that week, but the whole season is ridiculous. Its a long year and plenty of things can change.

Well its finally here, be interested to see peoples opinion of rd 1 in this very even Div 6, I'll have a stab at it although its hard to judge teams until a few games into the season, but here goes anyway.

2:15 pm @ Webb Oval
Glenunga v Brahma Lodge Glenunga being the better side last year, but have to go with Brahma Lodge only cause of the hype that has been brought to them via this forum, maybe be closer than you think.
2:15 pm @ Mofflin Reserve
Central United v Mitchell Park 2 new sides to this Div, Have to stick with Mitchell Park due to hearing Central United will struggle this year (although its only hear say)
2:15 pm @ Daly Oval
Hectorville v Colonel Light Garden Colonel Light for me, but still respect hectorville after there season last year.
2:15 pm @ Yalumba Drive Reserve
Paralowie v Lockleys Lockleys in a tight 1, have improved a fair bit from last year but will come against some strong opposition reading Paralowies trial results.
2:15 pm @ Trinity Gawler Campus
Trinity OS v West Croydon Trinity OS, will be there abouts this year and should account for West Croydon without to many issues.

Glenunga v Brahma Lodge Reckon itll be abit closer than most people think
Central United v Mitchell Park Tough game here to pick, watched their trial game and both teams were poor. Bates and McDonald Brothers to get em across the line
Hectorville v Colonel Light Garden CLG to be pretty strong
Paralowie v Lockleys Key players back this week, making the Roos look stronger
Trinity OS v West Croydon Only because its at Trinity. Could swing either way

Who are the McDonald brothers from Mitchell Pk?

I think Glenunga V Brahma will be an epic. Too close to call a winner, have to wait and see.

You must be confused. The thrashing I remember was in Round 1 when you blokes got wiped off Hope Valley Oval to the tune of 81 points!! West Croydon only beat us by 16 points in Round 2...

my bad on that but to prove my point with actual statistics
Brahma Lodge 12.13 85 Glenunga 10.7 67
Glenunga 11.7 73 Westminster OS 14.11 95
Lockleys 14.16 100 Glenunga13.7 85

glenunga lost by no more than 4 goals in its first 3 matches, two against quality teams. with a bit of luck on their side, they could have been 3-0 up. always hard to get a season going afta being 0-3 down

4 goals is a decent margin, if you had said 4 points, you might have been taken seriously Brahma will win by 14 goals this week

They also lost another 9 games for the year, which shows luck had nothing to do with it in the first three rounds. They just weren't very good
