Just that line up had 2 spare batsman, where there was only 1 spare bowler.

I would have thought taking just the one spare batsman and two backup bowlers would be the way to go.

Yeah thats a fair point Pidge, to be honest i have really followed much on the Domestic cricket, you may be right.

I'm wondering why they would take a back-up keeper to the Ashes? They could use the spot in the squad for an extra batsman or bowler. There would be one keeper playing in county cricket that could be drafted in if something happened.

I think Hughes can keep, so he'd be your back up in cash of emergency. Otherwise you'd just fly someone over there if haddin broke down or is injured.

I think Shane Warne seriously needs to think about playing in the Ashes..

Just watching some of him in the IPL cleary shows he is our best spinner... still.

it is never gunna happen, he does want to, and it is alot different bowling 4 overs than your off, compared to bowling 25 overs in a day and backing it up for 5 days, he has been retired for ages and his fitness would no where near be good enough,
I love vegatarian food. It goes great with steak.

That is true. but he would be better than Krejza, Hauritz and all the other poo bowlers we have......

The Pakistan Series is very big for ashes Selection, Symonds, Watson and Ferguson could all put their name up for that number 6 spot with good performances.
