Hawthorn Season 2009

Postby hearts on fire » Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:54 pm

All talk on the reigning Premiers!

Hawthorn will struggle early, with many injuries but will pick up mid season and finish the season strongly.
The Hawks will be very competitive, but won't do as well as last season, but still good enough to finish second. ;)

My Opinion: Hawks to finish second and replay the Cats in the Grand Final, but to lose this time.

All hail the mighty Bradburys. The team that brought football back to the dizzying depths of the mid noughties.

One day we'll kick straight and the truth will come out. Bradbury didn't win two Golds.

not sure they will go well this season. They are the bench mark and every team will be out to impress against the premier. if they have injuries early then loose games it might be a struggle to make the 8

Bulldog, a struggle to make the 8? no way!

They may struggle to make top 4 but they will make the 8 easy!

Hawks top 4 easy. They had seven premiership players missing last night and Osborne went down as well which was a real key injury in the match. Not all of those out are out and out guns but certainly Lewis, Ellis and Osborne will be notable absentees if they can't suit up next week.

maybe i am wrong. for your sake it seems i hope i am. I just dont think they will go well with the current players they have out at this moment. if they all recover then i will be wrong and if they make the 8 then i am mistaken.

Miss the 8? Not likely!

The second best side in the league by a fair bit IMO. Also i dont think REB would be too worried if the Hawks missed the 8.

Hawks are just experiencing a long period of dominance. With a squad of quality young talent with exception of a few, they will dominate the comp for the next 4 or 5 years. I think its hard to predict the difference between them and the cats this year but i do know that them two teams are a long way above the rest of the comp. Definatly a rematch come GF day this year.

Anyone else think the Hawks are in trouble?

They are really struggling, although they have a few players out, you would expect them to beat the Power at the G.

Where to next for the Hawks?

it is gunna be hard to make the top 4 from 1 and 3 have to win 13 from last 18, and history says if you dont make the top 4 you dont win the flag. but in saying that they play West Coast, carlton, Essendon, Frematle and melbourne in the next 5 weeks

so hawks supporters would start to get anxious but by the end of round 9 you could be 6 and 3 and still around the mark of the top 4

What a disgusting performance today. They might not even make the Finals. Maybe REB's 'Bradbury' call was on the money. ;)

Bradbury didn't win 2 golds. Geelong wont win 2 flags either. You'll be 6 foot under next time they do.
