Donkey, Maxy and myself ;) think it would be a good idea to start an APFL Dream Team Comp. Only problem is that sides need to be completed prior to tomorrow nights game so we need to be quick. Let me know if there is enough interest in it and I will start a league up and PM everyone the details.

But I dont want anyone to find out my real name  :D

I take that as a yes then!

What are you talking about :? I beat you in the first round of finals last year to knock you out. At least I can beat you twice this year, once in our league and once in the APFL league (if it gets off the ground).

Yes, I have a spare league available to join, if you're talking about the AFL website one. Increase the chances of success anyway, just like merging teams!!!! :)

Important notice: Do not to bait the Jack when it comes to Dream Team!

I've got a full quota of League, so I'll have to pass. Against you wankers in one already anyway. What about giving the League code out to fill the last remaining spots. I noticed Skip's in!

I see there seems to be a few Hamley Bridge posters here in the APFL.
Can anyone give me some feedback on how Ben Burgess is travelling at the helm?
I understand he went to Hamley to do an apprenticeship, but may have been unlucky on missing out on the vacant Freeling job in 2009 after being approached.

Freeling had signed their coach before the 2008 season had finished, and correct me if Im wrong FGH or BenC, Hamley had signed him for 2009 by then too.

Yep pretty much was given the verbal YES at end of last season. The signing followed closely after.

He has grown whilst at Hamley and so has the team. My opinion he has done pretty good with what he's had. This year will be a reasonable learning curve for him with more numbers to choose from and an increased chance of playing final football.

I understand what you are saying Swamp Donkey, I'm not suggesting that he only recently resigned. But, what I was refering to was that he is obviously making some inroads into rebuilding Hamley, if he was to be approached by Freeling when the position was vacant in 2008 for the 2009 season.

Im saying Freeling wouldnt have been shopping around as their assistant from last year was always going to do it. And yes Im sure he has made inroads like BenC said.

i have heard that rumour as well but admittedly it wasnt from a very reliable source
one to find out would be to check if burgess signed before prouse was announced at freeling, cant imagine him signing with hamley if he was still in the running for freeling job

p.s i dont know osama have been trying to work out who it is myself however im sure he knows me

Osama,
I can categorically tell you that Ben Burgess was never approached by Freeling, and thats no disrespect to Ben ; and that Prouse wasnt a monty for the job. It was seriously discussed late October, along with a few other candidates, and the decision was made in November, not late in the season.
