Slightly off topic but has anyone seen the NRL add on Foxtel, the modern day gladiators advert. Bloody brilliant one of the best sporting advertisements i have seen in a very very long time, captures the emotions well.

NRL always creams the AFL in marketing, as it has to. NRL is such a TV product. You watch the ruck and you watch the game. In Aussie Rules you can watch the guy with the ball and the bloke next to him and capture just a snippet of the overall action.

NRL TV sport - AFL spectator sport. As is evidenced by the attendance figures.

Understand the reasoning.

Just was making the point to HOF that players dont need to have achieved a huge amount to be in theses advertising commercials. It is all about marketing to supporters.
