I think the TOSFC are looking not too bad for season 2009. But you just never know till the season starts, i think Div 6 will be pretty close again in 09 by the sounds of it.

Yeh we pay all our A Graders $500 a game

I was ex trinity and ya got 2 problems IMO.

1. Ya gotta pay a couple of blokes (more wins more sponsors=more dollars= more quality players= moving through the Div's

2. Can not be called the TOS football club. That's just asking for it.

Lol yeh it took me a while to get used to calling out Go You Tossers!

Now its just like pffft i think the boys wear it with pride and it only fires them up more

and the whole paying thing i think very soon it will be something every club has to do or otherwise they wont get anywhere. I know there was talk of best player cash incentives but im not sure if thats going ahead??

My ladder prediction for the 09 season:

Brahma Lodge- from all the talk picked up a number of good players so will be the front runners this year.
Colonel Light Gardens- same as BL, very competitive.
Trinity OS- going to be very competitive at home and a few wins away will assure them a top three spot.
Mitchell Park- Have definately slipped under the radar throughout the pre season. do not underestimate this team. Some good pick ups will get them into the top 5.
Lockleys- the fifth spot this year is going to be the hardest one to pick! They have a good team and should scrape in.
West Croyden- some good players up forward, key injuries this year will test their depth.
Paralowie- dominant side last year in DIV. 7, unfortunately that's where it ends for Paralowie. again Same as West Croyden, some key injuries will test their B grade stocks.
Hectorville- cant comment to much on Heccies just what I have heard, going to struggle.
Glenunga- again not sure but from what I have heard will struggle.
Central United- It is an under statement to say that these blokes will struggle.

Well we look forward to playing agaisnt you blokes this season. Just wondering how u can have that opinion of Paralowie?. We beat you by 65 and 51 points when we played each other last season and you are only in this grade by default so how have we slipped behind you so much?

Good call Carey18, from what I saw last year MP struggled in Div 7 and were lucky to scrape into the top 5 and will definitely find the going tough in Div 6 and as you stated are only even in 6 by default!

I have heard they (MP) have recruited pretty well, but whether it's enough, only time will tell.

Hey, why don't I just go eat some hay, make things out of clay, lay by the bay? I just may! What'd ya say?

No this year CLG have been very quiet compared to 07/08! Is that maybe because you learnt the lesson BL may learn at the end of this year! CLG leant the hard way that u shouldnt wave the flag until youve actually won it.

when did i come out and say last year the flag was in the bag? never! always said we would be around the mark but never said to give us the flag now! stating our recruits and losses doesnt mean im talking up our chances, i think someones still bitter about the flogging we gave you guys in the 07 GF

Exactly! And that is all BL have done....

Mate, i watched your trial game v Central United and if you think your gonna finish above Lockleys and Hectorville your horribly mistaken. You had both your guns playing up forward but nothing else around the ground. It was one of the worst trial games i have ever witnessed. The skills on show were shocking! The 2 teams i mentioned have obviously got the runs on the board in this div to be placed higher than your lot. The only reason i didnt name us (Paralowie) above you blokes as well is because were still an unknown in div 6 and its hard to gauge without sounding cocky where we will be in regards to the ladder. It looks like a tough year for all teams but i think Mitchell Park, Glenunga and Central United will be in for a long season.

I don't think Glenunga are going to be in for as long a year as everyone predicts.
Their only issue revolve around big men, we have one ruckman who will need to stay injury-free to ensure the midfielders get first use of the ball from the middle. Their biggest asset is young, fit, smart running midfielders. They won't be beaten at stoppages, and their forward will get a good supply, just a matter of whether they have the cattle up forward to take a grab, apply defensive pressure inside the forward 50, and most importantly - kick a winning score. They are looking like lacking a bit of height which might make it hard to match up on bigger guys.

Sort of agree with you #3, I dont agree with this ladder at all, even if Mitchell Park gained 5 or 6 players they will still have to improve a fair bit more to consistantly win in this Div, as it seems like most teams that were in div 6 last year will be stronger again this year.
